A Stitchity Update.....

Gentle friends I managed to not only get a more recent snap of the "Christmas Band Sampler"  - but - I also remembered to bring the dang camera to download and post the snap here!!  So here's sort of here it stands at the moment.....

.... or at least where I was Saturday - I am a bit further along.  I really enjoyed the eyelet letters - in fact that is what drew me to the piece in the first place.  Only a small bit to go and then I'll be moving on to the next piece.
_______________

As with so many stitchers over the last year I am part of a group stitching away on Scarlet Letter Samplers as Part of Nicola's Scarlet letter Year.  As part of the ongoing "getting to know everyone" some of us where asked to participate in online interviews and the one I did a while back was just recently posted......  so if you ever wanted to now more about me you can click HERE and read what I wrote.....  you can also look around at some of the magnificent stitching going on at both Blog I and Blog II and also take moment and look at the newly posted Gallery of finished pieces, it is truly amazing!!!!!!

That's about it for today sports fans, thanks for stopping by do stop again!!

Take care,
edgar

  2. Great interview, nice learning a bit about you. I love your stitching chair, and my eye was drawn to you Longaberger baskets, I did not know you collected them too. Great finish ( almost ) too, I am fond of eyelet stitches too, they seem to stitch up fast. I have not started my Christmas Band Sampler, I meant too this holiday, but....I always stitch up Christmas pillows for my house and then as guest leave I give them a pillow.

  3. I popped over and read your interview, Edgar; it's so fun to get to know more about your stitching background! Thanks for sharing. And you're right, there are some beautiful pieces of handwork on that site.

  4. Great progress on your Christmas Band Sampler. The colors really pop. I really your online stitchy interview - I love the part where you say you are a "stitching fool"! It's funny how so many students used to watch soap operas in college. For me, it was General Hospital :)

  10. I have that chart and after seeing how pretty yours looks, I think I'll stitch it before next Christmas. Will you leave it up all the time? I'm never quite sure what to do about my seasonal pieces.

  12. Love the interview. And your sampler progress. I use the stab method on linen in a Q snap also even though I've read that it's "not proper." I don't see myself changing anytime soon.

  13. I can't believe how quickly you stitch. Such a pretty sampler. I popped on over to your interview. Are there any nice stitchery shops in the San Fran area. I will be visiting my son in March and would love to shop.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading your interview - when I saw your stitching spot it ran through my head "a drink! above that basket of WIPs!" Love the sheep afghan.
