Gentle Friends, here's an updated snaparoo of where I am on "Anniversairies" ...
... here's "Swan Lake"... I'm almost finished with this block and will soon be on to August -
or as it is called "Clara Ellen."

It was a lovely low-key weekend here by the Bay at my house. Out in the world, specifically downtown SF the annual Pride Parade and Festival were in full swing... which is something we've avoided and not been to in donkey's years.... in fact nobody I know was going and most were steering a clear berth of anything to do with downtown, Civic Center or the Castro. We heard there were more than a million people attending the various functions..... what we've heard about past years and this year's events, that the majority of the crowds attending are made up of out of town and tourist folks.... here's a snap I lifted from the internet of this year's crowds...
... that's just too many folks for me to deal with... to drink a warm beer and sweat in the sun!!

Love the colors in this project. Swan Lake is looking good!
ReplyDeleteSwan Lake is looking good, Edgar. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you and Rico. Anything that draws s huge crowd has a big avoid sign for me!!! I might be missing some fun things but that's too bad for me! I still choose to avoid the crowds.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the crowd thing too - much more pleasant to be at home with your loved ones stitching!
ReplyDeleteYour stitching is to-die-for! Great progress!
ReplyDeleteYes, anything that has a ginormous mass of humanity is avoided by both myself and DH. Fuhgeddabouttit!
Enjoy a cozy time at home - that's the best!
THAT is a lot of people. I think I'd steer clear, too.
ReplyDeleteSwan Lake is looking good.
ReplyDeleteWe flew out of the Bay area Sunday and made sure to leave for the airport very early to avoid traffic.
