A Little Remembering

Gentle Friends, today would have been my parent's 62nd Wedding anniversary, and my mom always said it was a rainy, wet day.... here by the Bay it's cool and foggy.......

I like to remember the event with some flowers at Chrurch and arranged for some to be put on the altar yesterday...

...they were nice and pink,(my mom's favorite color) and by tomorrow will be spectacular when all the lilies finally open up....

.. on either side of the Tabernacle were some pink azaleas...
my mom would have really enjoyed all these flowers!!

  1. Oh I love seeing pictures from the past. Your Mother was beautiful and you look a lot like your handsome Father. The flowers are lovely. Being from the South, azaleas are one of my favorite flowers, and of course pink makes them even more special, too. Wishing you a lovely day. :)

  2. It is a cloudy almost rainy day here in Greenville, N.C. today as well. Thanks for sharing such a lovely picture of your parents and reminding me that June 12 coming up would be my parents' 65th. Such a sweet remembrance for you to place the flowers.

  7. I always look forward to this post each year. The flowers are always beautiful. It's just so much more than flowers...love, honor, respect, remembrance.. I think you must have had a wonderful relationship with both your mom and dad. I think it speaks volumes about them. On a side note, don't you think if you take a quick glance at your father he looks a little Tom Hank ish? Handsome for sure.

  8. What a lovely memory, you do indeed look like your father. Today (May 22) is my Mom's birthday. She is still hanging in there at 81. Sadly there is no wedding picture of Mom and Dad as they "run off and got married."
