Thrifty Thursday and Some "Peeps".....

Gentle Friends this week has been really low key, with not too much going on at all.  Last Saturday as usual we ran around to the shops and even got to an Estate Sale.  Here's a snap...

...from l to r... a mystery book with Chaucer as a main character, a Quimper sugar bowl (not really my thing, but it reminds me on my trip last Fall to Brittany, a super bright cut sauce bowl and liner, a late 19th century little porcelain guy holding a spoon, another great piece of bright cut glass, a small hand painted vase with what looks like a gazelle?, I can't identify the mark on the bottom but I think it Greek, and a Rockette Christmas DVD.  So, I did find a few fun things.......

We also stopped off at target and I found some interesting Peeps..... today I'll mention ......

.... Strawberry Creme flavoured Peeps.....

.....  they are sprinkled with red crystals that lend a nice sparkle.  They have a nice flavour of strawberries....  the chick shape seemed to suffer a bit, I'm not sure if the addition of flavour or colour softened the marshmallow base but they are a bit on the blob side.
So, on the "Peep-o-meter" I will give these a 6 out of 10.
