A Quikie "Shores" Posting

Gentle Readers and Dear Friends just a short post today.   Without much really to talk about I thought I would show my less than stellar progress on Shores...

.......  HOLY TILT Batman ........  whats up with that dramatic snap??  As you can see I am once again bogged down with more Pale Jade fill stitching - you would think I was cornering the market on this shade of Silk - I am still loving this piece, but be forewarned when you  - if you - stitch Shores - there is lots of Pale Jade Silk in your future!!  Since the Pale Jade is only a water line on this square I will finish it out and then start to work on the rocks upon which this water crashes.....

Another Shores snap is my evening help....

....as you can see I have my pile of stuff for Shores on the corner of the couch and The Peach just watching my progress.  Don't let the half closed eye fool you - this little ball of cute is smart and knows when she hears me pop the linen off the Q-Snaps that it is time for bed and she immediately hops down and trots off to warmer spots upstairs.

There you go sports fans.  Thanks for stopping by and for you taking time to leave such nice comments!!!  Do stop by again.

Take care,
edgar

  1. Just look at the fuzzy Peach taking it all in - my doggie knows it's time when the footrest goes down on the chair and the ott light off...

Like your progress - just the border of each square is progress!

  2. Aww, Peach is adorable!! Duffy is the same--keeps me company while I stitch but as soon as the Daylight lamp goes off, he's hopping off the loveseat and running upstairs to bed. Too cute!

Nice progress! It is a LOT of fill in and a LOT of silk but the finished piece is worth it. I love the colors, too!

  3. Hello, Edgar! I've just started following your post regularly. It's so interesting to see your progress. I love reading your posts. What do you do whilst stitching? Do you watch TV, listen to music? Hope you have a wonderful day!!! Ana

  4. Sweet Peach! I usually have plenty of company when stitching, but they (being cats) just want to chew the plastic bags I keep my threads in. Doesn't work out too well.

  5. Lookin' good! So much NPI; whew! That's a lot of in-and-out of bagging. (for me)

Peach is so cute perching there.

Unrelated Note: I still can't get along with putting the q-snap over the finished stitching. Maybe if I weren't so fussy over how each stitch looks/prone to vapors at the thought of them getting squashed.

No wonder I don't really do large pieces!

  6. The Peach is so cute! It's funny how our animals know things. We have two cats, one of them knows that when you say "blue bag" it's treat time and she comes running. Silly animals. Gotta love them.

  8. Love that the dog listens to the Qsnaps!

The block above the one you are working on looks beautiful!

  9. I hate it when I am stuck on a single color for too long as well!! It gets monotonous. However you're stitching is coming along great! And that pup of yours is too cute! It is so funny how animals behave with they're owners!

  10. Any progress on such a large project is a wonderful thing! It's so hard to focus.

Peach is a sweetie! Nothing like our furry family.

  11. At least your help doesn't try to run off with your "pretty string" and giggle as they run away.
