Gentle Friends, today would have been my parents 61st Anniversary...
... and what would a wedding be without a big satin dress, a huge train and your great-grandmother's lace veil to wear... after the ceremony they left for a wedding trip to New York City...

What a sweet, beautiful couple. This is a gorgeous picture, and I see both of them in you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photograph. You must be so pleased to have it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Is this the day you have flowers delivered to your church? Seems like I remember you doing that on their anniversary.

What a lovely picture!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful couple and a gorgeous dress!AriadnefromGreece!
ReplyDeleteI say this every time, I love looking at our parents when they were young and happy. I think everyone's parents went to NY on their honeymoon, mine did too back in December 1941.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely couple. My parents (who have also passed) would have been married 50 years this coming July 4th. Not a day goes by that I don't think of them, miss them. Love is forever, it never stops, it never fades, it's like a comma in a sentence, it's merely a pause. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture! Such a gorgeous wedding dress your mother has. This is a real treasure and so glad that you have this as a remembrance.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! I see the resemblance in both of your parents. :)
