61 Years Ago...

Gentle Friends, today would have been my parents 61st Anniversary... 

... and what would a wedding be without a big satin dress, a huge train and your great-grandmother's lace veil to wear... after the ceremony they left for a wedding trip to New York City...

  5. I say this every time, I love looking at our parents when they were young and happy. I think everyone's parents went to NY on their honeymoon, mine did too back in December 1941.

  6. What a lovely couple. My parents (who have also passed) would have been married 50 years this coming July 4th. Not a day goes by that I don't think of them, miss them. Love is forever, it never stops, it never fades, it's like a comma in a sentence, it's merely a pause. :)
