A REALLY Super Mail Day

Gentle Readers and Dear Friends I loved all the comments about yesterdays Post - thank you all very much!!  It really warmed up this cold, drizzly morning!!!
__________

I am always happy about this Blog, and all the friends I have made through it.  I really enjoy the community kindness out in the Blog-o-sphere.  Although we may all be scattered across the globe this little world of Blogging brings us together with visible and invisible connections!!  I will have my 5 year Anniversary coming up on May 9th and of course I want to have a Gift-a-way Drawing... and I have some ideas percolating, so stay tuned.
__________

Keeping with the theme of Blog Friendships I was totally overwhelmed yesterday by the Mail Guy - as he brought me some wonderful mail!!!!  In no particular order....  my wonderful RAK's .......

British Crown Jewels - from l to r  - State Crown made for Queen Mary - 1911, Imperial State Crown designed for Queen Victoria in 1838, reset in 1937 for King George VI, The Exter Salt, given by the the city of Exter to Charles II - 1660, The Ampulla - 14th Century and Anointing Spoon - 12th Century.  In Front  - Table Fountain, given by the City of Plymouth to Charles II - 1660, St Edwards crown - made for King Charles II - 1661

Bronny from over at Bronny's Bits sent me these great post cards from Australia.  She knows how I really enjoy royalty and especially the British Royal family and all the trappings!!
__________

The next RAK is from Shirlee from over at The Easily Influenced Stitcher - she sent me a wonderful Kit I had seen but never got -

- from The Primitive Needle - a great needle minder kit called "Thy Needle."  It is an all inclusive kit with a great piece of WDW "Tin Roof" linen, one of my favorite colours they do.  Designed by the late Lisa Roswell and in her great grave yard style!!  What a fun piece!
____________

From my new "Quaker" Friend Loraine from over at Sew Be it! - she sent me a great package...

....with a super piece of 32ct Vintage Mocha linen, some Kodiak Silk from HDF and some really nice cream - my hands get so dry that this Udderly Fabulous stuff really did the trick last night!!

I am really blessed to have made such nice friends and there so many others out there!!
 Thank you all so much!!!!
___________

My out of control stashing has hit again - once I get to looking on the evil Bay I find way too many thing I must have, need to have, can't do with out??  Oh, well, another little package came yesterday..

from l to r Merrily beams "Rules of Conduct," Hinzeit "Seasonal Birds," Sisters "Autumn Thanks" and Prairie Moon "Missing YoU"

I saw these cute charts and totally talked myself into getting them!!  I was really drawn to the "Rules of Conduct."  I have seen other versions out there, but really liked this one and the others just sort of followed.
____________

There you go sports fans.  Thanks for stopping by do stop again!!

Take care,
edgar

  4. Great stuff ... I particularly loved the postcards. Why do you think so many Americans have such a love affair with the British royals? Oh, hush, don't let my Irish grandmother hear that ... she'd smite me from the grave! Well, I expect all four Irish grandparents would frown but my mother's mother would definitely do some serious smiting!

  7. Love the postcards! Will you display them? I have dozens of old postcards from the early 1900s-1910s. I have yet to come up with a good way to display them. I'm always looking for new ideas. Enjoy your day!

  10. Do you have a wish list on the blog? That way someone can share with you if they are finished with the pattern, have a duplicate, etc. This is the way I oftimes get rid of patterns I am done with .

  25. Hi,

I'd like to inquire about doing a sponsored blog post - about 150-300 words that talks a little bit about DUI law and links back to our site http://www.aggdui.com.We provide DUI Attorney Services and I thought we might be a good fit for your readers/visitors on http://blacksheepsite.blogspot.com.

Here's a list of some blog post titles we've done in the past:
    - What Happens When You Get A DWI in Arizona
    - How a DUI Attorney Can Save Your Life
    - Reasons Why You Need A Immigration Attorney

Our budget is around $15 for the post. Is this something you'd be open to?

Also we might be interested in a small banner ad if the price is right. Our budget is $40/year - something like this: http://postimage.org/image/csase593h/

Let me know if you'd be open to either or both of these.

Also if you have some other sites just send them over and we might be interested in doing a sponsored post on there as well!

    Regards,

    Phil
