A Little Stitchin'

Gentle Friends, I finished up the third part... "She Sights a Bird  " Here's a snap...

...now, as I stitched the "animal" between the two birds... what could that be??  The chart says it's a "cat' but I see a cute puppy... what are your thoughts?? Here is the poem (about a cat by the way) from Emily Dickinson that inspired the design...

She sights a Bird—she chuckles—

She flattens—then she crawls—
She runs without the look of feet—
Her eyes increase to Balls—

Her Jaws stir—twitching—hungry—
Her Teeth can hardly stand—
She leaps, but Robin leaped the first—
Ah, Pussy, of the Sand,

The Hopes so juicy ripening—
You almost bathed your Tongue—
When Bliss disclosed a hundred Toes—
And fled with every one—

  2. I think this is ranking in my top 3 favorite works by you. (Pretty sure you know the top two LOL). Sweet poem - I'd not read that one before. ~Robin~ (PS - I see a cat - most definitely a cat.)

  5. You are doing a fantastic job on this. I confess, though, it looks more like a cat to me.

  8. I didn't see a puppy until you mentioned it. Then I saw a puppy. Then I saw whiskers. Then I saw a cat. Yep. Cat.

    1. I think since I have three little dogs running around the house all day I always see the dog in everything, but I now leaning far more to the kitty-cat side now.....
