A Little Spring in SF

Gentle Friends, after Mass on Sunday we made our annual trek to the far end of Golden Gate Park near the ocean to see the lovely tulips in Queen Wilhelmina's Garden... here are some snaps...

... named for Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands the great-great-grandmother of the current King... every year it is replanted with colorful tulips and flowers...

... in addition to the tulips, there were mounds of marigolds and then there was also some spectacular orange poppies.... really beautiful!!

.. the display of tulips lasts for a few shorts weeks in the early spring so if ever you are in SF make the trip out to the Great Highway and visit the Garden.

  1. Dearest Edgar: How lucky you are to have such beautiful flower gardens to visit, we had snow again yesterday and this morning the dogs hate the snow and ice me too.
    Have a beautiful day.
