A Little Brunchin'

Gentle Friends, I've been meaning all week to get this post up... so here goes... last Sunday we headed out to brunch after Mass with some friends to a place we last went to over 16 months ago... The Presidio Social Club Exchange located in the historic Presidio...  and since it is Summer here in SF and the Presidio is right on the Bay it was a windy, overcast 50 degrees... we sat outside on the deck under heat lamps.... chilly but fun!!  Here are some snaps...

... the front of the Social Club, the deck is around to the left side and behind ...

... I had a big cup of coffee and a large bowl of "East-West Chicken soup"  it was quite tasty very similar to Tom Yum Gai you would get in a Thai restaurant...

Rico got the Croque Madame, grilled ham and cheese with an egg popped on top,
along with a Rose Sangria...

Julie got the Exotic Mushroom Quiche...

and Denise got Mary's Chicken Salad... the girls got Mimosas to drink

we got an order of truffle fries for the table, they stayed warm for about 1/2 minute but even cold were delicious!!  It was fun to see Julie and Deinse after so long, we last went to dinner two weeks before the lockdown last year...we've been friends for years since we all worked together on the SF Stock Exchange.....

  1. That sounds like, and looks like, a wonderful place to do brunch. I'd have a difficult time deciding what to order as everything looks so tempting. I'm glad you were able to get together again with your friends. Love the burgundy shrubs in front of the building. Are they bayberries do you know? ~Robin~

  2. So glad you were able to catch up with your friends and enjoy a nice brunch. I'm going to go with Edgar's pick, his looked really good. So funny that you were 50 degrees and sitting under heat lamps and other parts of CA are blazing and in the 100's. I will take 50 over 100 any day.

  5. All the food looked great! The egg yolk would have to be cooked all the way though, haha. Your temps sound divine!
