Gentle friends, I started off this afternoon with the best intentions of vacuuming a little, dusting a lot, and changing out the flowers for the week... instead...
... I made cookies! They are called "Darn Good Cookies" from the basic recipe I switched up the single chip with three types of chocolate chips, and instead of one nut two types of nuts... Basically, they are a nice crispy chocolate chip cookie with a slight chew towards the middle... tasty!! I might just get to some housework tomorrow after Mass... maybe not!

Sometimes it is far more important to be happy and do happy things than to have a cleaner house. Enjoy. x
ReplyDeleteThat sounds real close to how my day went. Plans were to move a heavy dresser upstairs, do some laundry and clean the hall bathroom. Reality = chicken and dumplings and snickerdoodles. I'm easily persuaded!
ReplyDeleteGiven the choice I will choose baking over housework any day. Those cookies look really good.
ReplyDeleteThe cookies look fabulous, Edgar! Household chores are overrated!
ReplyDeleteMy vacuuming intentions often end up like this. Those cookies look delicious.
ReplyDeleteYummy! Way more satisfying than vaccuuming...
ReplyDeleteWell, I would say you made excellent use of your time! Those cookies look so good!
ReplyDeleteWho wants to vacuum and dust when you can bake cookies.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you see you have your priorities in order! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteVacuuming may freshen the air, but cookies baking fill it with delicious
ReplyDeletearoma and satisfaction
I say you made the right choice....besides, cookies make the house smell better than vacuuming does. ~Robin~
