"Tis the Season" Update and It's Chihuahua Friday....

Gentle Readers and Dear Friends another week gone an we are once again sitting on Friday looking at two days off.  Nothing planned on our end except the usual errands to the grocery store in the morning and the odd Estate sale - I really should run the vacuum and I am sure I'll do a load or two of laundry.....  I am thinking of making some stuffed cabbage - sometimes you get a hankering for something comforting and filling and I think it would hit the spot!!

I wanted to show and updated snaperoo of "Tis the Season" (please excuse the wrinkles...)

It is coming along nicely -

and - since it is Friday we must have a snap of a chihuahua and I think it is little Miss Lolly's turn...

she was not going to take her eyes off of the "cookie" that Rico was holding - they never do when there might be a snack around!!

There you sports fans - thanks again for stopping by and for your sweet words!!  i do appreciate them all!!!!!  Stop buy again soon!

Take care,
edgar

  6. Stuffed cabbage are a staple in our house as my husband is Polish. We make them two ways - with meat and rice and with rice and mushrooms. Both are delish but I like the mushroom/rice combo best!

Tis the Season looks wonderful - love that red bird.

  14. 'Tis the Season is one of my favorites, too. Do you cook your stuffed cabbage in tomato sauce? Cabbage and tomato?? I tried to leave a comment about Smokie the other day, with no luck. He is a real looker, and now here's sweet Lolly. Give 'em both a hug for me, please.

  15. The cardinal is beautiful! Miss Lolly looks like the chihuahua that my grandmother had 40 years ago. He liked to sit in the chair with you and was sweet until it was time to get up. Then he became a little tiny Cujo. He got so mad once when I was trying to get out of the chair that we had to throw a towel over him so he wouldn't bite me. I was probably around 10 and he scared me to death. I'll try not to have flashbacks every time I see your little sweetie.

  16. I love Miss Lolly. You can see the desire in her eyes! My Schnauzers used to look at me that way. Alas, I now have a cat, and he could care less. LoL.

  19. Mmm, the cabbage looks so good in the photo! I might just give them a shot this weekend. I am also working on Tis the Season. I love the fabric you've selected. Is it 36 ct? I'm working on 32 and wish I'd picked out a 36. Happy Weekend!

    1. Hi Marnie - It is 36ct "Pear" - although I would have thought it should be on the green side - it is actually more of a khaki colour - I really like it and think I might just have to go back to Needle in a Haystack and pick up a big old chunk of the stuff.
