How About a Scary TV Show?????

Gentle Friends I am such a ding sometimes....  I am still working on "Christmas band Sampler" and meant to snap a picture last night after I popped it out of the q-snap, but totally forgot - I was dealing with the last "out for a pee" with the who-hounds and it just slipped my mind....  so what to post about...  how a bout a TeeVee show we are totally obsessed with..."American Horror Story"

We got caught up with the current season back at the beginning of November , watched all the back episodes we had missed of ......

....Season 3 - Coven, On Demand and now can.t wait until 10pm Wednesday evening for the next new instalment!!  We missed the first two seasons, but have made that up, for Christmas I got Rico the BluRay of

Season Two - Asylum, and we devoured that in two days of solid Horror TeeVee.

Last week I got the BluRay from DVD planet.....

first Season I - "Murder House" and we started that up last night watching the first two episodes.  What a super two shows!!

Let me just say I am not a fan by any stretch of the imagination of scary things, horror in any form, or the "blood and guts" films that pass for entertainment today............ but I just can't get enough of these shows - what's up with that????

I also wanted to say... could Jessica Lang and Frances Conroy be any more wonderful??  and the other actors, what super jobs they do!!  I know it's not a show for everyone, I thought it wasn't a show for me, but I am now a convert and wait with baited finger on the clicker for each episode!!

Watchin' TeeVee

Gentle Friends i thought I would wrap up the week with a little TV plug........ I finally got a copy of Rome Season II from Amazon ( to complete the set) and now I am re-watching the series.  What a super production - and you can see where the tons of cash were spent to bring it fruition!!

I am still stitching away on ABC's of Christmas and will have an update on Monday.  I wanted to thank everyone for the help in identifying the liquor box - I knew it was way under priced at the shop!

That's about it for today sports fans.  Thanks for stopping by, do stop again and have a super weekend!!

Take care,

Whoop de Doo - It's Friday!!!!!

Gentle Readers and Dear Friends this week has been so typically long and not very exciting.  I do like them that way.  We are to have a "heat wave" of sorts here over the weekend - all I'm hoping for is just a tiny bit of sunshine to get a good snap of "Blessings."  I would have bet money I had taken a snap of it before going to bed last night, but when I started flipping through the pictures a few minutes ago there was not a single one.  Now, I know I am loosing it - but, to have thought so strongly that I had taken a picture and find none.......  well...... what can I say - that hollow sound must be where my brain should be......

__________

This week between the bad flicks I have been re-watching a series called "To the Manor Born" - 1978-1981 - starring Penelope Keith and Peter Bowles - it s a British sit-com set in Somerset on the fictional estate Grantleigh.  The basic story is of Audrey fforbes-Hamilton becoming a widow and losing Grantleigh to taxes and Richard DeVere a millionaire "Grocer" buying the estate at auction.  Audrey moves down the drive to the "Old Lodge" to keep an eye on things and becomes the fly in Richard's ointment.  If you have not seen the show I would highly recommend it - you can find this series appearing on Public TV.

This is the cover of the box set I have.

Well, I guess I'll wrap it up for today and the week.  Big thank yous to all my followers both new and old and to all my commenter's!!  I do appreciate all your kind words and sweet thoughts!!!  Have a great weekend - and stop back by again.

Take care,

A Little Mid-week Post

GR&DF, well here it is Wednesday - and the weather is in a cold holding pattern until this weekends' predicted rain.  They (our building's management) has decided to replace the deck around the pool.  We think it is going to be much wider.  The room is there but you never know - and heaven forbid they tell us anything!!  Last week we went down for a quick dip and the water was really very nice.  Since the pool is heated it was just about right.

Last night I had a army of frogs visit - or I should say a knot of toads!!  I  must have put in and pulled out the same 3 stitches 4 times.  For some reason I just couldn't count to six.  I usually don't have that problem as 6 is a number I can get to without much help.  For some reason I just couldn't count and it was a real stretch for me - eventually I pulled out back 10 and re-stitched it all.  So frustrating!

There was no movie yesterday- instead we watched "Glee."  We saw the after Super Bowl "Glee" and now a second show this week - schweet!!!!!  The show is still very watchable - and the music arrangements always pretty good - so we are still fans!!  Talking about TV - we usually catch the "Wendy Williams Show" daily in the afternoon - and really enjoyed yesterdays HOT TOPICS.  So much gossip and Nene from the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" was a guest - she kept trying to play it cool and not really say anything during her interview, but Wendy kept digging away!!

That's about it for today sports fans - do stop by again!!

Take care,
