A LIttle Stitchin'

Gentle Friends, I finished up the rest of the 6th part of Fruits over the weekend... here's a snaperoo...

...  I made a major counting mistake in the big pale blue section and had to frog quite a large section... so I was surprised when I finished the entire section up and can now pack this away until the 1st of July when Part 7 arrives - and  - since I took off a few days around the 4th I'll get a good head start right out of the gate.

That's about all that is going on around here... except we did get a tremendously good piece of news at last weeks Zoom Meeting.... it is for certain that our office is closing up and we are taking a much smaller space AND that we are all getting to work from home permanently.  I am super happy about that... no commuting, no fighting for parking, no Muni or Bart  (the local public transport systems here in the Bay area) so from now on I will be at my dining room table for work and Zoom meetings!!

That's about it for today sports fans.  Thanks for stopping by do stop again.  Stay Safe!

Good Thoughts! Good Words! Good Deeds!

is changing work-wise....just hope it does not isolate us even further.
That you will be spared the commuting, is a plus.

  3. So glad you will be able to work from home from now on. I dread the 35-45 minute drive that will start again for me in September. Love your cross-stitch. Looks like you were able to frog and re-stitch quite quickly.

  4. Great news about your job! Covid has been good for one thing. We have learned what works on line and what is more difficult. Your stitching is absolutely beautiful. Worth the nasty frogging!

  5. Congrats on working at home permanently and that you are looking forward. I'm still crossing my fingers it can be more than 2 days a week, the last year of 100% was so enjoyable. Beautiful stitching too.

  7. This is an absolutely fabulous piece Edgar. How many sections are there all together? Yay on the stay-at-home arrangement. What I wouldn't have done to have been able to do that at least on blizzard days... I hated those days getting up at the crack of dawn to make sure I could navigate getting out the driveway and through the unplowed rural roads to make it there on time. ~Robin~

  8. Congratulations on being able to work from home permanently. I'm sure the Who Hounds are happy about that. No commute is going to be especially wonderful. Plus it's summer so shorts and flip flops instead of work clothes. Win-Win! That piece is coming along nicely.

  9. Wow, Working from home sounds so much better. My first thought is that I wouldn't be as productive, but then I think about all the times that I would get interrupted by co-workers with trivial/unnecessary questions or random conversations. Of course that was before I retired.
    Congrats on the good news.

Excellent news no commute how wonderful, you do not need to travel in rain cold or hot weather, you can even wear jammies all day.

  12. Something good has come out of the lockdown! So happy for you, Edgar! I think companies all over are giving up their office spaces and allowing people to work from home. Makes sense!
