Gentle Friends, many know that we had to rush Lolly to the Emergency Animal Hospital on Monday afternoon as she was stricken with pyometra, an infection of the uterus... she had a major surgery Monday night and has been at the hospital all week. many thousands of dollars later....we got to pick her up this afternoon and she came home far perkier than when we dropped her off and with a bag of medications.... including shots. Here's a tidbit about me.... I hate needles and will not look at one when getting a shot or getting blood taken, however, my baby needs these to fight off any infection... so I'm stepping up to the plate and doing what has to be done..... we are a very happy family once again!!

ReplyDeleteGreat news about Lolly. You are a very good dog daddy, even though it is hard for you. I come from a family that also has spent lots of money on dear pets. After all they are part of the family! Take care and I hope you all have a very good weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove the family photo! So glad to hear she's on the mend.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs to everyone. x
ReplyDeleteI was the same way about needles - until a friend's dog had to have insulin. Then I learned how to do it. Now I give myself a necessary shot every two weeks.
ReplyDeleteIt is a fear you can overcome. I know you are a Southern guy -and we are stronger in things than we know.
Glad she is home and know you will do what you must because she is relying on you. Have a peaceful weekend, Edgar!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that Lolly is doing well! It is so stressful when our pets are sick. What a great photo! Take good care.

Dearest Edgar: I am sad Lolly had to have surgery but so happy in my heart to hear she is home and doing well.
ReplyDeleteI hate needles myself and never look when they give me a shot or draw blood.
What a sweet photo of you and your family.

Oh so sorry to hear about Lolly. I don't mind shots, but I can't handle blood draws.....getting better as I get older. Well done you to be able give your baby her shots. Hugs to all of you.
ReplyDeleteAlways so worrying and stressful when our pets get ill. Pleased to hear that Lolly is home and being cared for. We amaze ourselves when we actually do something we are sure we could never face doing.
