Gentle Friends, I found a few fun things over the weekend, here's a snap...
... from L to R... a great - and very heavy - bright cut "Ice Bowl", you know how I love me some bright cut glass!!... and older, cloisonne bowl in really super condition ca 1910... 5 luster ware plates, this is such a hard pattern to find. I got the first pieces from my mom's house as they were originally from my grandmothers, now I have 13 of them......the porcelain bottle with cherry blossoms is really old, I had been watching it for about a month at the Goodwill and when it went half price I snapped that sucker up!!.... I also found a couple of movies...... so not too bad. I hit the usual places and an Estate Sale.

Great finds as always, I love the plates. I recently ( finally) purchased a Hope Angier fireboard with a clipper ship on it , so I guess ships are a new favorite. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing your finds! I never heard of luster ware, but those plates are gorgeous. Nice haul!

ReplyDeleteAs usual you made some great finds, Edgar!
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit your museum (I mean home) and see all of your fines :-) Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love your thrifty posts. All the cutwork/crystal etc, how do you store them or display them? Would love to see the complete collection :)
