A Replacement Piece

GR&DF The flicks last night were really great, I hope you got a chance to see part of the film fest.  Tonight the films are grouped around Jack Nicholson - starting off with "Five Easy Pieces" - 1970 - , then "Terms of Endearment"  - 1983 -  and rounding out the evening with "Easy Rider" - 1969.   All three are fine films , but I have seen them before but tonight I am getting two Netflix DVD's so it will be a Netflix evening.
__________
I heard from Lynn B that the replacement ornament arrived.  She was my partner for the HOE Ornie Exchange and the first ornament never arrived - I guess I am pretty lucky that in all the years I have been doing Exchanges that only a few pieces have gone missing.  Not a good thing, but sometimes it happens..... so I stitched up and made this piece to replace the one that went missing....

It is a Prairie Schooler chart from Book 166 Snowy Night.  I really like this Book and this is one is a real winner - it was fun to make and I do hope that Lynn enjoys this piece.  Have you seen the previews for the 4 new Books that PS is releasing at Market -  4 more winners!!!!  I really love the Russian inspired Eggs one!!!  I can't find the site the was previewing them, sorry - they will soon be out.
__________
There you go sports fans.  Thanks again for stopping by!!

Take care,
edgar

  2. I'm glad that your replacement piece arrived - it's beautiful.

    Enjoy your Jack Nicholson films.

I watched "The Last Station" - it was slow to get going, but ended up being an enjoyable film, if you're looking for recommendations.

  4. Love the PS ornament!! Too bad the other one was lost.

Started watching "Henry" last night, but ended up changing over to a previous recording from TMC of "Topper" and "Topper Returns"...love me some Cary Grant! I hate that he didn't do the "Return" though. I think tonight is a Netflix night for me too...The Tudors, Season 1, Disc 3...I can't wait to see what havoc Henry wreaks tonight, LOL! What a twit he was...and somehow, I don't see the real Henry as looking anywhere as good our boy, Jonathan Rhys!! LOL!

    Happy Stitchin'

  14. Lovely ornament Edgar! You know last year I watched Five Easy Pieces for the first time - had always heard of it and assumed it was a "classic". I thought it was awful - is it just me? Maybe it was of those movies that don't age well, I don't know. Usually I like most Jack Nicholson movies so it was a surprise to not like it.

  15. Pretty birds! I love Cardinals and their song which sounds to me just like 'pretty bird, pretty bird'. They know their stuff. That is a very pretty ornament.

  16. I had intented to read all of your recent posts that I've missed, do to computer "illness" and just pure laziness. Then you had to mention 4 new Prairie Schooler books, so I'm off on the search!
BTW, have you watched the new BBC/PBS Masterpiece series, Downton Abbey? Very similar to Upstairs-Downstairs. Loving the costumes.
Thanks for the great Royalty mags that arrived two days ago!!!
