Wrapping Up the Week

Gentle Readers and Dear Friends your kind comments for yesterday posting touched me deeply and I wanted to thank you all so very much!!  Even though loved ones move on they are always in our hearts!!

I finally got the recipe for "Lemon and Blueberry Yogurt Cake" posted over on Blacksheep Bakes:

It is a great recipe originally from "Big Mama's Home Kitchen" who was guest Blogging over at "The Country Cook."  Two super Blogs you should check out.

Not much on the stitching front - still plugging away at 12 Blessings without much progress, so I didn't take a snap.

The movies this week included a pretty terrific one - "Unfaithfully Yours" - 1948 - starring Rex Harrison , Linda Darnell, Rudy Vallee and Barbara Lawrence.  A black comedy about an orchestra leader who thinks his wife is cheating on him - he imagines different ways of dealing with this problem during a performance.  When the performance is over he flees the concert hall to put his plans into action, but everything he attempts isn't as easy as he thought it would be.  Directed by Preston Sturges the Criterion DVD is a beautiful transfer with great sound and picture clarity.  An entertaining film and worth a look.

That's about if for this cool (here in SF it is hovering at about 55 right now) and damp Friday morning.  Thanks again for your kind comments - stop back by again soon!!  Have a great weekend!!

Take care,

Yumm--that looks good! It sounds like you are living with the same temperature as over here. I opened the window and was cold. I think summer completely skipped Ireland this year.

Have a great weekend!

Have a lovely weekend, but you don't have to rub those cool temps in the faces of those of us sweltering in the heat. I'll be glad to stay in and stitch this weekend!
