... the changes made to this part are to leave off the date and initial from the bottom as I've already stitched in the year and a letter "E".  Now on to the sixth part...

A Little Stitchin'

 Gentle Friends, just stitching away on the 5th section, and here's a snap of the progress...

...  I've still got to add in all the beige flowers... A change I made in this section was to add on the right-hand side of the border those single stitches.  I did this so as to extend the image and leave the single stitch (two threads) break at the vine.  Although the counting was correct I couldn't figure out another way to visually widen the border without the single stitches, without the extension this section looked like a mistake.  Trust me I tried lots of variations with the border before settling in on this "fix."

We've been having a really nice Summer here by the Bay.  

Lots of fog and breezy weather with the temps hovering in the low to mid-60s... now I'm ready for Fall!

 Gentle Friends, I finished up the third part... "She Sights a Bird  " Here's a snap...

...now, as I stitched the "animal" between the two birds... what could that be??  The chart says it's a "cat' but I see a cute puppy... what are your thoughts?? Here is the poem (about a cat by the way) from Emily Dickinson that inspired the design...

She sights a Bird—she chuckles—

She flattens—then she crawls—

She runs without the look of feet—

Her eyes increase to Balls—

Her Jaws stir—twitching—hungry—

Her Teeth can hardly stand—

She leaps, but Robin leaped the first—

Ah, Pussy, of the Sand,

The Hopes so juicy ripening—

You almost bathed your Tongue—

When Bliss disclosed a hundred Toes—

And fled with every one—
