A Little Bird Stitchin'

 Gentle Friends, I picked up Little Birds to work on this week, and here a snaperoo...

... I finished up the bottom part of the border and then got to stitching on the floral motif on the lower half... there are two houses on each side of the bottom and a large medallion for my name.  I am thinking I will replace that medallion with something else but at this point, I'm not too sure what that will be ... but something.

A Happy Valentines Day!!

 Gentle Friends, just a quick post to wish everyone a very Happy Valentine's day.... 

... even after telling someone to not get or do anything, I was gifted these gorgeous roses.... some people just do not listen well... oh well they are beautiful and I'm a lucky guy!!

A Little Stitchin' and a Lotta Froggin'

 Gentle Friends,  I should have had the second section wrapped up by now...here's a snaperoo..

... instead, I made a fatal stitching error and was off by a single stitch.  In my ignorance, I went along getting a huge part of this section stitched before noticing it.  Damn, damn, and double damn!!!  This piece relies on my paying attention!  It also relies on pretty strict adherence to the chart with no fudging allowed - too many straight lines and too narrow margins between bits & pieces all over the place.  I had to frog it all out - take a deep breath and restitch - hence the only bit I've "correctly" stitched this last week or so is the "wavy navy" section... on to the "morning glory" next!!  It happens and we move on!

A Little Stitchin'

 Gentle Friends, settling on two blues (CC "Wavy Navy" & GAST "Morning Glory") that I'm happy with, here's the result...

... to get the blue floss to look blue in the snap I have to give up on the linen (PTP "Moonglow" 40ct) having the yellow overcast and so it looks very dull beige/grey...I do like how this first part turned out but can't get past the idea that the bowl of fruit looks like bubbles!!
