A Little Stashin'

Gentle Friends, after I posted last night about Jury Duty, I thought, now what will be an interesting Post in the morning......  I've not posted about any new acquisitions to the Stash Heap, we all know has far surpassed the point of SABLE, I was certainly in desperate need of more stash!!!  (can you read the sarcasm there)

I've really been trying to stitch from stash all year and not bought anything new in a long time..... and since there's not been anything new that lit a fire in the old wallet I've been pretty safe.  But, I do keep a short Wish List of things I would buy if given half a chance.  That Half Chance got the better of me recently and I bought three "new to the heap" things.....

... three charts from BBD, I really like their horizontal pieces and these two have been kicking around on the list for quite a while.  They are on the small side and almost the same size, I was thinking a double sided pillow would be the way to go with them...... and Agnes is just a great chart, so how could I pass.  I got them from Anita's Little Stitches, a new to me shop that was lighting fast in shipping them out AND slipped a little prezzie in the package.... those 28 Bohn needles, now that was super sweet!!!  I bought this great stuff with a super GC I received at Christmas from a stitching Pal,  and thought it was high time I used it for some fun stuff!  So I took the card added some of my own "funnions" et voila, new stash for the heap!!   - and - you know the Smokie, he has to see what's going on in his territory!!
_______________

There you go sports fans, thanks for stopping by do stop again!!

Take care,
edgar

  2. Awesome additions, Edgar! You can never go wrong with those gals at Blackbird Designs, right? I got quite a chuckle out of Smokie checking out your new purchases - I think he's trying to convert your purchase into the equivalent in doggie treats. Yep, I can pretty much surmise that he's keeping a tally there which he'll make sure is matched or exceeded in his Christmas stocking. Lol. Happy stitching.

  3. Yes, we all knew "it's high time Edgar bought some more stash. He doesn't have enough." LOL. Good for you! Those are lovely designs too.

Smokie has such a cute face!

  4. For a long while, I have carefully avoided looking at the Blackbird Designs site because I am either at SABLE or very close to it. I am currently struggling to find the time to complete all the class pieces from the various retreats I have attended over the past five years. And to finish the WIPs from the past three years as well as stitch enough "new" from stash stuff to keep things interesting. I have a very short wish list and I'd like to keep it that way ... and some of the titles on it are a result of your enabling in the past. Now, you are doing it again. I will not add Agnes to my wish list! I will not! I have far too much to stitch already.

  6. Smokie's looking adorable on your rug with that stash--great colors!

I have been using Anita for a few years now--isn't she great!? I just email her what I want and she invoices me and sends it RIGHT along! USPS has proved sluggish lately, though, so I'll ask to upgrade to priority next time. :)

  11. Whew, you sure dodged a bullet there...I'm sure the stash was getting dangerously thin on the ground! I adore Bohin needles...I'm tempted to throw out all the other ones! Well, except my petite tapestry beading needles...

    Enjoy the new stash!

  12. What great choices in stash enhancement! I like BBD as well. How nice to have the needles included. I haven't tried Bohn brand, think I will have to since everyone seems to like them so much.

  13. I'm reading your blog and just got done shopping at Anita's Little Stitches. She is one of my favorites. Excellent customer service. Living in San Francisco you have such an opportunity to many stitching stores. Lucky you. I do love reading your blog.
