I was a total lazy butt last night!!

And did not stitch a thing - nary a needle nor thread touched my callused claws.....
and I don't know why... well I do kinda know why
- after dinner I popped a movie in the DVDer - surprise -surprise!

The flick was "Madame. De..." - 1953 or as it is known here in America - "The Earrings of Madame De..." - such a gorgeous film - starring Charles Boyer and Danielle Darrieux
- set in the Paris of the late 19th Century -
the focus of the film is a Comtesse and a pair of diamond earrings -
"what the earrings signify, primarily, is the transformation and transfiguration of an initially frivolous and flirtatious society woman into a tragic victim of romantic rapture." Andrew Sarris

There you go - my evening - there was also an hour+ phone call from my sister - yakkity yak yak!!I will announce the winner of the "Antique Sampler Kit" on Monday and the PIF's on Tuesday - Thank you all for your support and interest!!

Not too much planned for this weekend - finishing up the MAW for Gaby and the Ornament Exchange for Vonna - I'll be a stitching fool both days!!

One more week to sign up for the SBBC-2209 -

Thanks for stopping by - have a great weekend!!

Take care,
edgar

  2. Ahhh well sometimes our hands need a little stitching break! I would love to join your pif but since I already own two of your stitched pieces it just wouldn't be right or fair on anyone else lol. Although having seen the pifs around at the moment I am mighty tempted to join one somewhere somehow. ;-) x
