My Mailbox Runneth Over

GR&DF thank you so much for your kind comments about yesterdays post. It warms the heart immensely to read so many nice things.

Yesterday the mail was just super de duper!! I wanted to thank those responsible for the euphoria I am feeling this chilly Tuesday Morning.

In no specific order......

A while back Marie P was in a HOE Exchange and made a spectacular ornament - she used a Prairie Schooler chart I did not have and I was blown away - In her recent travels North she found me a copy of the PS Chart AND made little old me a spectacular Ornament.....

and here is a close up of the ornament...

Marie's stitching and finishing are perfection - you know how I love Christmas Ornaments and Christmas Music - this combines two wonderful aspects of the season in a really lovely way!! Thank you so much dear Marie!!

The next package caught me completely off guard - from Donna in TN - she has followed me and this Blog for the longest time - with always an encouraging word about my adventures in life - here is a snap of the package ....

I thought to myself "what could this be??" - I am between exchanges - so that couldn't be it... I opened up the card and her dear note explained that this special gift was for the the BOD being good to her in the past, her enjoying my little postings and for the little things I do here at BlackSheep - how super sweet is that!!!! - and - opening up the wrapping revealed....

.. this super creation - with a saying I so like!! Isn't it sweet! The sheep, bird, bees and house are so cute. I do not know the designer, but the great stitching and super finish make this a very special piece - Thank you so much dear Donna.

An last but certainly not least - once again reinforces the super heart and generosity of this stitching community we are all a part of - from Nancy - a reader of the BlackSheep - so very kindly offered me something I have been waffling about for the past few years...... here is a snap...

Her copy of ATS - this spectacular monster of a piece is something I have loved since I first saw it out there in stitchy land. I have hesitated off and on about getting a copy knowing that it would be a bear to finish, but what a challenge. Nancy has already finished it and has it framed - what a kind and generous thing to do. Now I need to start thinking about working up the courage to get it together to do it!!

I am humbled by such sweet gestures and kind gifts!! Once again I have to say what a great group this stitching community is!!

There you go sports fans. Thank you so much for dropping by - and for you kind comments. Stop by again.

Take care,
edgar

What a great mail day for you! I especially love the PS leaflet and ornament.

Good luck with ATS. That is a spectactular piece but a little daunting to think about stitching. I wish you good luck!

Have a great day.

Oh my goodness Edgar! What fabulous posts the last few days. Love the sampler your working on. Really nice colors!
You have been so lucky this week, with fabulous presents in the mail. I've been trying to get my hands on "ATS" for some time now. I waited to long to buy it at my LNS, and when I was ready to pull the triger, it was gone. I'm now waiting for Silver Needle's annual sale, to purchase this one. It's a pricey chart!
If you ever want to start a stitch along, I'll have to get the stuff and start it. I really love this sampler.
Take care!

Oh wow! Wonderful post for sure! Love that PS ornament and the no money piece as well. And all the charts and -- well, you definitely had a good mail week! lol! I've been debating doing ATS forever. I wonder if i ever will. I've seen it finished IRL and it's gorgeous!

Wow! :o

Stitchers are definitely the best--and that means you, too! :D

You so deserve it and I know you're enjoying it.

I recently saw one of those PS Christmas Music Santas finished as an ornament and thought "WOW!"

As for ATS 0_o I've a-ways to go before I'm ready to climb such a mountain.

Wow, your mailman must've had to work really hard yesterday! What fabulous gifts. ATS is a beautiful piece, I can't wait to see your spin on it :)

WOW! Talk about Christmas in July. I usually just lurk, but I have to share this with everyone. A friend stitched ATS. What a beautiful piece. HOWEVER be very careful with your fabric. Make sure it is cut straight. As Pat stitched hers, the right margin got larger and the left smaller. By the time she got to the bottom it was 7 inches right side, one inch left. Talk about having heart failure. So my dear friends, either cut your own fabric or pull a thread before you start. Happy stitching and lots of it! ~ Kirby

Wow, what a great time at the mailbox! I love that PS chart and hope to stitch up a couple from it one day soon. The pinkeep is adorable and how cool about ATS. You'd be very brave to tackle that one! But those who have completed it have a wonderful masterpiece! :)

Wow! What treasures! If you get the info for Donna's "No Bees No Honey" I'd be interested in the name of the designer /chart name. Thanks.

Edgar, I'm glad you like your little surprise! The design came from the April 2010 issue of Cross Country Stitching. I'll look to see if the designer is named. You really did get some great mail! Your fans are legion!
