Gentle Friends, thanks so much for your kind wishes about my upcoming adventure.  It is still a few weeks off, not until the first of September, but I am really excited now and since I'm just doing lots of research so I can spend my time in the Dordogne and then in Paris wisely I thought I'd start talking about it now........... any suggestions from Blog Land?????

  4. The flowers are gorgeous!
I always suggest to those who are Paris-bound to visit Monet's garden in Giverny. I went in September, and of course there were still plenty of flowers blooming--it's a magical place if you love his art!

  8. Gorgeous flowers!! I don't think I have anything to suggest in Paris that you have not already seen...St. Chappelle is my favorite. I will say if you haven't had ice cream in Paris (around Notre Dame there are some great places)...it is very yummy and portions are small so you can try several places. =) Oh, and the better half suggests the Musee d'Orsay, but I think you've been there, too!
