Gentle friends, Rico wanted me to let you all know how much all your kind comments and emails meant to him - and I also wanted to thank you for all your kindnesses!!
___________
After Mass on Sunday and our weekly visit to Trader Joe's, we headed to one of the larger Farmers Markets in the area. Since everything seems to be coming in and there is loads of gorgeous produce out there, I have some snaps to share!!........
... Summer harvest is just super and so juicy!!! We picked up far to many fresh produce and are almost "fruited" out - trying to eat it up before it goes bad.
____________
That's about it for this Thursday, thanks again for stopping by do stop again!!
Take care,
edgar
Oh, gosh--it looks incredible! Those beets! I'll have some of everything.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear I'm not the only person that falls for too much fresh fruit purchases and then has to rush around trying to do something with it before it goes bad. Last night I was freezing a huge batch of blueberries because I'd never get them eaten before they spoiled.

Wow, great variety of produce at this market, and the colors... Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSalivating over the fruit. I do envy you your market. We don't seem to have anything on the same scale around here but I will make a point of visiting the local Orchard this weekend ... the peaches won't be ready yet but there may be some early pick-your-own strawberries.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sights at the market, those plums look delicious.
ReplyDeleteLove the snaps of everything! So colorful and yummy looking! Nom nom!!

It's like a rainbow:)
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos as always!! Please tell Rico I am so sorry for his loss. I will keep you both and his family in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteAll the produce looks wonderful. I love summer and the Farmer's markets!
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish we had a farmer's market as abundant as yours somewhere nearby. I visited a new local "market" recently that only had one table of wilted lettuce available. How disappointing.
ReplyDeleteSo much good stuff! I just harvested my first broccoli! Cooking it tonight!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Looks like a wonderful market! Wish it was close to me. I would over do it too!
ReplyDeleteDearest Edgar: Thank-you for sharing the lovely pictures of the veggies and fruit, oh yum look at those plums.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to Rico.
Hugs
