One Fish, Two Fish, Brown Fish , Blue Fish

GR&DF what a ding I was yesterday. I wrote a post then instead of posting it I saved it as a draft. I had no idea that I had done that and that the post was languishing in "save" central until the afternoon. Oh well, I guess better late than never. Just when I think I am getting the hang of computing I do some dumb thing like that.

I think I'll start off the post today with some stitching - a new piece and an older piece - The new piece (as you could probably tell from the title) is SoHRH. I finished up the second square - so here's a snap....

This square came together really quickly - now to go onto Square 3 or to square 5?? I have an exchange piece I need to get going on and then I need to get to a Christmas present - so this will go on the back stitching burner for a while. I am doing some grey fill on Garden Path - so no snap of that slow and not too interesting stitching.

The second stitching picture was a request - It is an older Halloween RR I was part of- I really want to work on the open spaces.... but for now here's a snap -

I really enjoyed this RR and wish there where a RR to join in on out in the Stitching world.
_______________

The other day on the way home we stopped off at La Victoria Bakery for a cupcake fix. Not the most authentic baked good they carry - but - when you need one, you need one..... and which one did I pick???

Here is a close up of some that reminded me of something....now what would that be??

All Hostess'y and delicious, but not what I picked....

I think that about wraps up yesterday - no visit to the farmers market - we'll get to one over the weekend. Thank you for stopping by, do come again!!

Take care,
edgar

  3. Love both your stitchy pieces. I remember that RR piece -- it's just so wonderful! As for the cupcake, they all look good. Did you go for the one that looks all swirly and chocolatey? :D

  4. Some times I have duh moments when I just don't know what I was thinking or more probably wasn't thinking at all. I don't know which cupcake you picked, but I'd go for the ones with the chocolate stuff and a drop of red goo on the top. Is it cherry, raspberry (my fav) or strawberry?

  5. Great post! I love the eel in that shores block! lol!

And, your RR is definitely "An Oldie But Goldie". :D Is that meadowlark? What count? I do remember you said you burrowed through several cuts of linen looking for just the right one.

Mnn; cupcakes! We TOTALLY went cupcake shopping last night--I'll not say how many we bought, but it was too many. And, they did not survive breakfast! My favorite was the raspberry cheesecake; and the "Average Joe" (Yellow cake with hocolate ganache icing).

  13. I would be interested in doing another RR, haven't done one for about 5 years. If we could hold off on starting one till the new year that would be even better :)

  14. Yum! I would have to have one of each, I'm afraid. I would pick the one with what looks like shaved chocolate but I think you picked the bright, sunshiny, yellow one! Love your shores progress - and the RR is cool.

  15. Edgar,
Both of your pieces are gorgeous; I love the colors in both; what fabric and count did you use for both?

The cupcakes look dellliiishh! LOL Not good for me, though, as I am trying to take off a few pounds right now.......!

I would love to try a RR again; was in one several years ago and it did not turn out too well.........someone dropped the ball and I lost my piece of stitching in the shuffle. Oh well....
