A Little More Stitchin'

Gentle Friends, still stitching away and here's a snaperoo...

...I made a change in the Tree/Angel band with the Angel.  I changed up the gown from another shade of green to the blue color, it's GAST "Cornflower" I tried a couple of light blues and really like the way this one looks.  In stitching this piece I figured there was so much green already that another green was unnecessary.  I'm thinking about frogging out the wings as they are really light and melt into the color of the linen....  but I'm going to think about that one.

  1. I like the pop of the blue in the angel's dress. You are moving along on this piece, Edgar!

  2. Maybe just backstitch the wings and add some lines to define the feathers with a slightly darker color?

  3. Stunning! Have you thought of outlining the wings with a gold or silver thread? It's beautiful no matter what!

  4. Beautiful, I agree some backstitching. I had to backstitch on some white flowers on a piece made such a difference.

  6. I like the backstitching suggestions. I would try that before I frogged the wings. When you first started this one I thought "yeah, it's pretty", The more you stitch, the more I'm really liking it and thinking I may have to add it to my stash. I love the last row ....I've said it before, you have an eye for color. Beautiful stitching Edgar!

  9. Today, I went to the beachfront with my children.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old
daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear."
She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I
    had to tell someone!

  10. Dearest Edgar: I like the change to the color you used, it looks like her dress is flowing.
    Beautiful design.
I hope the Carr wildfires are staying far far away from your area.
