Whoopi-dee-damn-doo!!!!!!! Village is Finis!!!!

I am doing my little happy dance or I should say a big old happy dance - because I finished up VoHRH -

For the last two years - working on and off on this piece has really been a fun. Although I spent way more time off than on It always sat patiently for me to come back and throw some silk into a square. I even went back into the Blog posts and found out that I started this on September 5 2007 how odd is that. I also was way off my "one block a month" goal. Here is a full snap of my Village.....

Village of Hawk Run Hollow
9/5/07 - 9/14/09 at 10:04 pm to be exact!
Lambswool 32 ct Linen
rec. NPI Silk

With the approaching release of Christmas at HRH I wanted to have this one done.
The next HRH piece will be Shores....... One reason is that CaHRH has a "black" square - and I just can not do another one of those anytime soon!

Another reason for going on to Shores is that I have all the silk and the chart - now I need to trot over to NIAH and get me my linen - it will be 36ct - but will it be the Autumn gold??? I will have to decide when I get there.

That's all I got for today Sports Fans!!!!! Thank you all for commiserating about about our "No Sale" rainy Saturday!!! Your the Best!!!!

Take care,
edgar

It's wonderful! What a wonderful finis. I'm going to start Shores myself once I'm done with Houses and I'm also debating the choice of linen. I can't wait to see what you pick out.

Huge congratulations on finishing VoHRH! I think you chose wisely for the next HRH piece. Shores goes much more quickly than any of the others so far. The Christmas one looks like a doozy though, doesn't it? :D As for fabric -- the Autumn Gold make the fibers pop! I love it!

Un-real! I haven't seen anyone finish one of these HRHs since I began frequenting blogland!

Shores is my personal favorite, and I'm so looking forward to seeing you work on it. When I saw that last black block on Village I thought, "Oh, how could he do it!? I could never do it!!" I admit I felt a little better when I saw you say that you were holding off on Christmas due to being "done" with black squares!

How big is the finished dimension?

Glad to see that you have finished VoHRH! When I went to the needlework shop and looked at the pattern I kind of thought that may be for another time.I love it of course, but it's so large and I like to hop around from project to project too much.Did you see on Kathy's blog that she has another block up of CoHRH? You deserve that Happy Dance especially after the weekend you had!:)

Congrats!! I yet have to kit that one - but the christmas version might come first!
I have the Shores... kitted. One note though since you wondered about the fabric. I first got the recommended linen on 40 ct but then hesitated since I read some reviews about linen showing through... so I ordered the 36 ct version - and it's so much darker... I don't think I will be using it at all! So either I try the 40 ct or something else in 36... :)

WOOOHOO!!! I don't know how I missed this finish. Incredible. Congratulations!
