I am Blessed by another super Mail day!!!

My cup continues to runneth over!!!! Yesterday the Mail guy brought me a gorgeous piece of Mail Art - from the HOE Mail Art Exchange - It came from Marie W - and all I could say is just WOW!!! Here are the snaps.....

The front -

The back -

AND lifting the flap reveals -

It is just perfectly finished and stitched - Thank you so much Marie!!! I am a lucky guy to have gotten so many lovelies over the past couple of days!!!!!

Last night my stitching was all on an exchange piece so no snaps yet.

The flicker for last night was "The Hiding Place" - 1975 - a true story about two sisters in WWII occupied Holland - and how they fought against the Nazi death machine, by doing what was right not what was easy the whole movie!!! - A very powerful story and a really nice movie - it is kind of long - but really worth seeing.

There you go kiddos - Thanks for stopping by!!
It is just pouring rain hear right now and do we need every drop of it - so pour baby pour!!!!!!!

Take care,
edgar

  4. Rain...where? We have sunshine here in Mountain View right now. Hopefully that rain will be moving my way later today, much to my puppies dismay.

  6. Stunning piece of mailart! I have never seen a mailart IRL or done one myself - I suppose I should put this on my 'to do' list before my eyes or my hands give out completely!

  7. Gorgeous mail-art! I'm really inspired now that I see the big US of A postage tag right on the front. My little post office seems to put up such a stink when I mail things to "foriegn countries".....hmmmm, isn't that what the post office is all about!?!?!?!?! I need to print out this photo to prove stitched mail-art can be done. They just need to rub a few brain cells together (that may take more then one clerk!)

  8. Stunning mail art, Edgar! The design is just gorgeous and the stitching is superb!! I think I too will print the picture for proof to my mail people, maybe they can share brain cells with Jennifer's guys and get with the program. Haven't seen this movie that I can remember will have to look for it.

  9. That mailart is beautiful. When I tried to mail mine in the exchange the postman told me he would not mail it unless it was in an envelope. So I constructed a window envelope for it and he put on the stamps and hand stamped it THEN it went in my window envelope. I was almost in tears in the post office. I tried to argue with him but he said he never heard of such a thing and refused to mail it without the window envelope. Hope it gets to it's destination. I live in such a strange town.

  15. That is just exquisite!!! Also, the book that the movie is based on is really good and short. Corrie Ten Boom had a tremendous amount of courage and faith.
