A Little Stitchin'

Gentle friends, I've been working a bit on HEiotS...

... filled in the house part and the only real change was to use "Old Purple Paint" for the door instead of "Mulberry"... then I started up on my Spring piece... I began this stitch using a 40ct RR piece of linen... which I didn't like, it was far to stiff and the color was just off a bit so I frogged out the border that I had stitched and then dug around and found another piece of linen I liked far better.....

...  a really lovely piece of  36ct Lakeside Linen, the color is "Vintage Sand Dune."  I've restitched the border I frogged out of the other piece of linen and am a much happier stitcher with the way it looks.  The piece I started is LHN "Little Sheep Virtues" and I am stitching it as a single large sampler.  I have modified the border from the many colours and variations charted to a single color "Wilderness," and will be leaving the diamonds open - for now - I like the way it looks, but I just might change my mind.......  the end is a long way off.  I have also changed all of the colors from the recommended DMC floss to various overdyed floss' including WDW, CC, and GAST - I'll talk about them as I stitch along.

Nice to see your house construction finished, Edgar! Good start on your spring piece. The Vintage Sand Dune is such a pretty linen color.

Nice progress on both and great idea to switch out the fabric before you're "committed" to it. I've had that happen.

I always look forward to your personal changes Edgar on each piece you work on. Xx

What a nice start. You are using one of my favorite "go-to"linens. I like the way it makes a sampler or anything stitched on it look older.

I really like your choice of fabric! It's amazing how much different it looks and how beautiful. I really like that pattern, too!

Love it and the changes are spot on as usual! I get inspired to get off the computer and stitch every time I see your work.
