Another Peep Report

Gentle Friends I know I usually have a stitching update on Fridays, but this week has been a hassle and a half regarding the stitching front - lets just say it ain't been a good week, and sort of leave it at that.
__________

So, lets have another Peep report.....  sweet Rico brought home some Peeps, in festive Easter colours....

... they are all regular Peeps, just dusted with different coloured sugars......  I found this interesting Peep at target.....

... even though milk chocolate is something I really don't care for very much, I thought "why not?"
..... inside is.....

.... a Peep silhouette covered in milk chocolate..... biting into it you find.....

.... yellow coloured marshmallow that is overwhelmed by the chocolate coating.  The marshmallow is only coloured yellow and is without a discernible flavour.  I can see if one likes milk chocolate then this would be a perfect Peep.  Since I really don't care for milk chocolate the old Pepe-o-meter hits a very low 2 1/2.
_____________

There you go, another week down, just remember there's only 257 more days until Christmas!!!!

Take care,
edgar

  1. Gotta love the Peeps! My favorite Eastertime candy though is without a doubt the Cadbury eggs.

  2. I've read your blog for a long time and I remembered that you like Peeps! They've really come a long way with those gorgeous colors!!!
Somehow I don't remember that you aren't fond of milk chocolate--are you sure you're ok??!! You are one of a very few!!! (But that's really good--keeps you from being 'round', which is a common problem!!!!)
I'm going to have to look for those chocolate ones--I hate to say I'm one that DOES like milk chocolate, so I have to fight the 'round' stuff all the time!!! Easter is a real tempting time!

  3. I'm a Peep lover, too but I don't think I'd like the chocolate one either. Why would they ruin such a good thing...haha.

  4. Oh, the milk chocolate covered peeps rate a number 1 on my peep-o-meter! How can anything containing milk chocolate and some fashion of marshmallow be a bad thing!! The dark chocolate are really good as well, so I am an all inclusive chocolate covered peep lover.

  6. I love peeps! I have a cake planned for Easter that uses peeps to form the look of a sunflower on top. I totally agree that a milk chocolate covered peep is lackluster.

  11. Chocolate covered Peeps...big disappointment. Now is the time to punch air holes in the Peeps packages so they are properly aged for Easter. Some say stale; I say nicely crisp.

  12. OMG, I LOVE Peeps! My DH walked in last night with 2 boxes; yellow and pink. Ate one box and will indulge again tonight!

My favorite = the Halloween Cats...they have a chocolate flavor to them so you might not like them.

  16. The first photo could be used in their advertising campaign : ) The colors are pretty, but I really miss the old traditional white Peeps. Don't know why they stopped making them. I think they tasted the best : )
