It's an Addiction

Gentle Readers and Dear Friends another wet, windy day here in the City by the Bay.  I guess the weather folks on the TeeVee (thanks Spinster) have actually predicted this storm correctly!!  I think that my weekend will totally be a "Stay at home" type......  although.....  I do have a list of four breakfast places that have been recommended to me.... hmmmmmm  what to do???  Fight the weather for some delicious pancakes????  Probably!  Who knows what tomorrow will bring!
_____________

Yesterday the mails brought some wonderfully delicious stash.  I know this hobby is a total addiction and I have way too much stash for 6 stitchers to stitch up in a lifetime, but how can one resist!!  I reached SABLE so long ago that there is no looking back.  I do however keep my acquisitions to a minimum and don't by everything that tickles my fancy, thank goodness.  Here's a snap...

as you can see Lolly got in on the picture ... Starting at the top - the four most recent PS releases - I really love Prairie Schooler and have quite a complete collection of charts - thanks to the evil of Bay!  I also like most of the LaD Da charts and thought these would work up great.  The "Peter and Peep" just hit me as a great Easter chart - "Antique Animal Sampler" is just charming - there are a couple of animals that I am not too sure what they might be, but with a colour correction when I eventually get to stitching will fix that - and - "Counting Sheep"  too cute!!!!  There are a few more things that I am circling and will probably break down and get - but for the moment this little bit is just enough.

I stitched a bit more of the Quaker RR last night - which will finish up this weekend and I'll have out in the mail on Monday morning.  I totally forgot how much I really enjoy a Quaker RR......  I am thinking I need to get another one together - any takers???
____________

That's about done it for today sports fans.  Thanks for stopping by, do stop again!!
Have a super weekend!

take care,
edgar

Oh love your stash Edgar! I have been totally avoiding all of the new market finds, but I know I will break down eventually! Great stuff!
I would love to stitch on a Quaker RR for you, and so would my local stitch group. I'll e-mail you the details.
Hugz!

I love all your stash Edgar. This really is an addiction isn't it? We just can't stop buying stash. But there are definitely worse things that we can get into, right!!

Great stashing! I also have acheived SABLE several times over but I call myself a "collector". After all, people collect stamsp, books, etc. Why not a stash collection?

I see you are a collector of charts as well as stitcher of them! There are several designers I feel compelled to collect as well!

I see a couple of items in your new stash pile that I'm hoping will arrive at my house this weekend too. They're hard to resist, aren't they?

You know, I think I started a RR project with my old EGA group over a decade ago. And I think my piece is still in someone else's stash! Wonder whatever happened to that thing. I'd MAYBE be interested in another go at a RR... your pics of the one your working on intrigue me.

I would love to join a Quaker RR. It's been a very long time since I've done a round robin but would love to do one again.

Hi Edgar, I post a challenge to you! Who is having the worst weather, SF or Seattle?? My bet is still on us here in Seattle!!!! Your stash is great. I will need to live to at least 100 to finish all I have at this point.

Hi Edgar,
I am ALMOST ashamed to show anyone my stash. If I lived to be 200 I'd never get it all done--AND I'm still adding, as you know. Most definitely an addiction. ALSO, I LOVE your carpet. It's almost as pretty as that little four-legged gem sitting on it. BTW- please forgive the ignorance. What does SABLE mean?

You picked up some great things. Can't wait to see your part of the Quaker and hear about your breakfast adventures. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is wondering about the meaning of SABLE.

I am going to begin a blog in about two more months.......in the meantime, I read yours each day and admire your stitching........and cooking! May I be in your Quaker rr please? Just give me the directions for how you want it done......and I will aim to please. Would treasure some of your stitches.

"Evil of bay"...I love it. Can't wait to see the new stuff stitched.

Can't say I do ebay too much anymore. Little kids are sooooooo expensive so it's not really in the budget. I thought about doing those lovely cottages you've been doing but that's not in the budget either :(. However, I have a two year and her favorite three stuffed animals using me as a lounge chair at the moment (making it a bit difficult to type) so it's worth it

Love all the new stash! If you go out in the rain for pancakes, I hope you enjoy them!

I'm right there with you on the past Sable. We have lots of the same tastes. I also got Peter and Peep - because I stitched Bunny & Co. last year in May and think they will be darling together!

Great stash acquiring. I like how Lolly got in there to give us a bit of perspective. I mean, she's a little dog, so it's not *really* that much stash, right? 8-)

Lots of lovelies in that collection! I've been way beyond Sable for some time too but I just can't help myself! It's a sickness!
