Gentle Readers and Dear Friends I haven't much at all to talk about this morning. I am still stitching away on my exchange pieces - I did put a few stitches into "Tis the Season" but not enough to show as there was very little progress.
____________
I have been watching and savouring every moment of Season 2 of "Downton Abbey."
I really enjoy Masterpiece Theatre and "Abby" has been great from the beginning. Now, a friend of mine that knows my love of MT and DA sent me a couple of clips from You Tube that had me laughing out loud!! If you are fan and like totally off the wall satire I think you will enjoy this clip of.....
"Uptown Downstairs Abbey"......
______________
That's about it for this morning. Thanks for stopping by - do come again!!
Take care,
edgar
I had never watched Downton Abbey before but decided to give it a look-see since I've heard so many blog friends talk about it. Well now I'm hooked! I have to be sure I watch it while here in GA though because I forgot to set my DVR at home! Is it on DVD so I can watch past seasons?
ReplyDeleteI have been watching Downton Abbey on Netflix, now can't wait to see the 2nd season. This show is also one of my favorite stitching "companions".
ReplyDeleteOh my garnish, what a Hoot! LOL. My guilty pleasure is Downton Abbey. Thank you for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteWatched DA from the beginning of season 1. Now I wait until the DVD comes out so I can watch the complete seasons in one shot. Had to cancel the cable tv last month.
ReplyDeleteLove Downton Abbey too!
ReplyDeleteBig Downton fans here too
ReplyDeleteI ordered Dowton Abbey from Amazon so I could watch both seasons... so good! I am contemplating buying the complete season of Upstairs Downstairs.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog !

DeleteJill, You must order Upstairs Downstairs...every series is compared to this. My son in law loved Upstairs Downstairs. When he started watching DA his comment was " good but no Upstairs"...You will love it...
DeleteLove Downton Abbey! I saw that clip -- so much fun, right? Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteThis is familiar from a satire of DA that was on UK TV over Xmas! Very good, although I am not a fan of DA! How can that be...

I will have to catch up with this Downtown Abbey series. I only recently heard about this thru other bloggers too and when it started winning awards. I love all things British so I am sure I would love it! Thanks for the youtube post. Have a great day, Edgar!
ReplyDeleteThis humor hits my funny bone in just the right spot! I love the Brits and the "cattiness" of this series. Thanks for sharing and Happy Stitching! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely something that I have to start watching. I just discovered the past seasons on Netflix so I'm all set - need to set up a chair and my stitching in another room and go for it. I've heard so much about it.
ReplyDeleteHi Edgar, we watched the first series, and we are still waiting for the 2nd here in Australia. I believe that NZ viewers have had a look at series 3. :(
ReplyDeleteLOL! A stitching friend posted this on Facebook this afternoon and I had several LOLs while watching it! LOVE, love love Downton Abbey! Already have season 2 on preorder from Amazon! Last year Downton Abbey was my guilty pleasure every Monday morning after the hubs left for work.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen an episode of Downton Abbey (but I was a major Upstairs Downstairs fan), but OMG that was too funny
ReplyDeleteI am also a fan of Downton Abbey! Great stitching companion! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the clip. Sunday evening is Downton for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of Downton Abbey; I always look forward to Sunday evening.
ReplyDeleteLove Downton Abby! These weekly series are wonderful on Sunday nights! Makes Monday mornings easier to handle!
ReplyDeleteAnd now Shirley Maclaine is joining the cast! Will make things a bit interesting I think...
I enjoyed with Downton Abby.
