Some Hallowe'en Treats and Fall Stitching

Gentle Friends, as nuts as I am sometimes, I knew after posting yesterday that I wasn't finished with Fall just yet..........

On the way home from work we needed to stop at the Walgreen's and "bam" right in front they had all the Hallowe'en candy and stuff set up and looking great!!!!  I had to pick up some treats........

.... and when I got home I dug around in the boxes under the stairs where we keep all the festive decorations and things that just don't fit in other closets....  and I pulled out some of my fun Fall exchange pieces I have received over the years ....  and ...... this is the result.......

... and all I got from the "peanut gallery" was how crazy I am and did I realize it is still August????   Oh pishaw, I'm ready for Fall and having some Fallish things out is fun!!  Notice the great bronze topper on the YC, another Fall favorite, I use all year long!!
____________

There you go sports fans, thanks for stopping by, do stop again!!

Take care,
edgar

  2. Oh my! I need to avoid Walgreens! Those are such cute little treats, though--I can see why they had to come home with you!
I agree!! It IS time for some Fall decorating! It's hot outside (in MS) and we're just so done with it! What a lovely basket of goodies you have--looks great! I fix a tree for every season/holiday and I'm very anxious to get the Summer stuff off and the Fall going!!!

  3. I love everything about Fall. That Reese's peanut butter cup is looking pretty good! I am so ready to pull out my fall decorations as everything starts to look hot and tired at the end of August around my area. I see a cute PS in your picture it has a squirrel, Indian Corn and two other things that I can't see. What piece is that? Enjoy getting ready for Fall.

  5. Looking So great, Edgar!

As for fall, I'm also hanging on to summer b/c it never really warmed up here. BUT your decs are putting me in the mood.

As for my local peanut gallery, he's been making fun of me:

August 5th, walking in Hoboken: "Boy, these Beech trees are looking kinda sickly; see those few yellow leaves? Actually the whole tree is kinda dull."

One week later: brown leaves crunching underfoot "what?!"

Peanut gallery really enjoying himself: "If these trees are sick, they ALL ARE. every beech in town!"
