Back in SF!!

Gentle Readers and Dear Friends I got back into SF around 11pm Saturday night and used yesterday to do laundry and just watch movies...  It was a nice trip home - but I always forget how oppressively humid Florida can be!!  Flying overnight and arriving Monday morning to bright sunny weather in the upper 80's was quite a shock, but Monday was the only bright sunny day.  There were rain storms the rest of the week and Saturday afternoon I flew out in the middle of a huge downpour - I enjoy the rain and it did keep the temps out of the 90's and in the low 80's - so that was a mercy.

Here is a quick snap.....

Taken from the Pier at Daytona Beach looking north.  This is pretty much how the sky looked all week - With there being so many years of light rains in the area and the ongoing drought - every drop that fell was needed.  Hopefully the rains will keep down all the fires that ravage the forests in the western part of Volusia County during the Fall.
____________

I have quite a bit more to share, but I am still catching up up on emails so I'll cut it short today.
Thanks fro stopping by, do stop again!!

Take care,
edgar

Glad you are back. I actually was a little worried that you haven't posted in a while, but I remembered that you travel a bit in the summer. Hope you had a great time with your family.
The beach looks fun!

Take the rain as a blessing from the heat/humidity. We were there is May and I could barely stand it then.

Glad you are back and hope your trip was great. It is in the 70's in Oklahoma with 80% humidity. The wind is blowing a little but it is HOT!!! Can't wait to hear what all you did.

Welcome back! Glad you had a good trip. Bummer it was rainy so much when you were there, but at least it kept cooler that way. Looking forward to hearing more about your trip and all.

Welcome home! I missed reading your posts and look forward to hearing more about your trip.

My DH is in Miami now....and told me that if I thought it was humid here in SE TX (near the Gulf) that it's way more humid in Miami.

Welcome back Edgar! We spent 4 years living in Florida and it's heat!! That's why retirement brought us to the cool Pacific NW!

Glad you had a good trip. I thought of you last Friday. We have a very small farmer's market outside my work on Fridays. There was a lady selling fresh kettle corn and I got some, fresh and warm. Oh my Lord was that good!!! Looking forward to your vacation stories and pics.
