A Little More Hallowe'en Framing

Gentle Friends, here's the second piece I picked up...

... "Thine is the trick or Treat" from Prairie Moon.  It was a really super piece to work on and again sorry for the odd angle, those reflections are brutal!!  I still have one more piece at the framers that I'll pick up this weekend and I'll post that next week.

A Little Hallowe'en Finish

Gentle Friends, well, I've finished up TitToT and here's a snaperoo..

Prairie Moon - "Thine Is the Trick or Treat" 

September 16 - October 17, 2017

Stitched on Silkweaver 36ct Days Gone By 

I used Belle Soie throughout and here's the break down by colour:

Black - "Old Crow"

Orange - "Lasagna"

Green - "Collard greens"

I also used: 

"Tulip" for the Rat's eye 

"Her Crowne" for the crow's eye 

 "Beanstalk" for the cat's eye

It was a great piece to work on and it stitched up really fast.  I remember when this was first released in 2010 and every year I wanted to stitch it in the Fall or around Hallowe'en it was always on the top of the "to be stitched" pile.... now it's been done....last night I pulled together my next stitching project - all the floss and linen ... I'll talk about that on Monday when I have some of it stitched and it actually looks like something!!

... it's hard to see but I added a red-eye for the rat and will add a golden eye to the crow.

... as I knew it would be, it is a fun piece to work on and not very taxing... I think the only issues I'm having at all are the over one stitches scattered about - I just need to pay attention as I stitch along  - other than that totally fun!!

A Finish and a Little Start

Gentle friends, I worked out my camera problems... so I have some snaps today of the piece I've been working on for the past few months.... and here is the last Block or double-block from AotH...

...  for this Block, I needed to shifted most everything around to fit in the little poem I found.  Although what was charted was nice it really didn't say what I wanted to say with this piece so I went looking online and found this short poem.  I did stick with the floss group for the Block....... 

and here's the entire completed piece.....

After wrapping up AotH I already had a piece picked out to begin. I had the linen and the silk ready to go.... here's the little bit of a start I made yesterday...
