Gentle Friends, I just got back from braving the downpour for a little morning deliciousness...
I usually don't get takeaway coffee much, it gets pricey... but from about mid-November to whenever the supplies run out I will get many Tall cups of Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks!!! It's probably my favorite drink they make and it's very seasonal. The Starbucks in SF have all run out of the fixins so I can no longer get them in the City, but here in Berkeley, they are still making them!! In fact, I can say without a doubt that peppermint is probably one of my favorite flavors ever... I can't think of anything peppermint that I do not like. I don't care for spearmint and don't get me started on wintergreen, but peppermint... oh lordy delicious!!
With the rain starting and the cold weather blowing it is a real "Treat Tuesday!!" I thought I should also get a pain au chocolate... or as it's called at Starbucks... chocolate croissant... it's not a good as the ones I have gotten in France... a bit pale and stiff, but it's buttery and chocolaty so it fits the bill this morning!

I love the Starbucks peppermint mocha! I very rarely go there, but I have to have a p m during Christmas! My daughter got me one several years ago and now it’s a “must” at least once during the season. The pain au chocolate looks wonderful, but doesn’t compare to the European version! (But I wouldn’t turn it away...!) enjoy the rain...we are having a little bit this morning and I love it!
ReplyDeleteEdgar I am the same about peppermint and cannot stand the other mints lol! I love the first candy cane of the season and that freshness in your mouth!

Ha ha... I don't like flavored coffees - except - the peppermint mocha - I found some on sale at a local store - bought one to try it - went back and bought a big supply. I am on the last container now. I save it for a treat rather than drinking it daily.
ReplyDeleteBut I must confess that I like all mints - though peppermint is my favorite.
Yum on the peppermint mocha and the pain au chocolate. But call me confused because around here you can get peppermint mochas all the time. Is there a difference between the Christmas offering and the one that is offered the rest of the time?
ReplyDeleteDearest Edgar: I treat myself to Starbucks when I go shopping, I love their specialty seasonal drinks, peppermint is one of them, I love the dragon fruit drinks they have in the summer.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.

The closest Starbucks to me ran out of peppermint hot chocolate before Christmas! How does that happen?!? I was so looking forward to a few treats through the winter. Ah well, I have some Trader Joe's mix in the pantry.
ReplyDeletePeppermint mocha.. sounds yummy. Hope the India Starbucks have that, will check out very soon
ReplyDeleteYou enjoy mint as much as I do. And thanks to you, I have also ordered so many mints and candies whenever people come from the USA :)
