Thrifty Thursday

Gentle Friends, it was a "small" thrifty Saturday not much out there, but I did find a few DVD's.....

...from l to r.....  "Flyboys" - 2006 - a WWI film about the Lafayette Escadrille - a very entertaining film with some super CGI that's top notch!!....  The Criterion release of "The Third Man" - 1949 - post WWII Vienna about love, murder and deception..... "Pearl Harbor" - 2001 - a pretty good film about a group of American flyer's from early 1940 to mid 1942 beginning with the Battle of Britain through Pearl Harbor and wrapping up with the Doolittle Raid of Tokyo.  The story seemed to drag a bit at the beginning, then picks up.  Once again the CGI of the air battles was top notch.  Some of the historical facts seemed to get in the way of the story but overall a decent film.

That's about ti for today sports fans, short and sweet!!  Thanks for stopping by, dos stop again!!

Take care,
edgar
