It was a warm weekend!!

Gentle Friends, thank you all so much for your kind comments and emails - I am back up to fightin' form and starting off the week with a less than stellar stitching shot.........

.....  this is whole weeks worth of stitching......  and the light green I had to change out as the recommended floss was not different enough from the darker green to suit me.....  so I frogged it out and re-stitched with this much lighter shade, and I'm very glad I did.
______________

The week ended with a friend of ours flying into town for work - he's an Ichthyologist and was meeting with colleagues here on the west coast.  He's from the Emerald Isle, NC. - We played tourist all day Saturday in the bright, sunny weather......  it hovered in the upper 70's all day!!! I have a pile of snaps to show over the next few days.........
______________

Another weekend highlight were some Valentine treats.......

..... somebody knows how I love bitter dark chocolate (the truffles)......and one of my favorite cookies is the Madeleine.........  I hope your Valentines Day was as sweet!!!!

  3. Love your stitching. I want some of your Valentines treats. lol! Yum! DH gave me a heart shaped box of chocolates from some British chocolatiers who have the Queen's stamp of approval. They are delish! I'm totally envious of your upper 70s weather. Send some of that warmth here please! Glad you are feeling better.

  10. Glad to hear you are feeling better. Nice stitching progress. Isn't it frustrating when the recommended floss colors are too similar in color. I just frogged and changed a green thread color in a Little Sheep Virtues pattern I am stitching.

  13. Another who is glad to hear you are feeling more like your usual self. And I also envy your warm weather. We had a weekend characterized by single digit temperatures with the wind chill bringing the "real feel" down to a range of -6 to -20 depending on the day. It had me thinking that long underwear is not just a vestige of long ago days prior to central heating but rather a practical solution in the here and now. I actually ordered some.

I expect the weather to warm up as soon as the package arrives, Murphy's Law being a major ruling force in my little world.
