A "Rosy" Stitchin' Finis

Gentle Friends, it was a very nice weekend.  Starting off with all the hoopla over the Giants Parade and  then the mayhem that followed downtown..... I saw it on tube, but avoided it like the plague myself.... it was that type of event.  Then it was also Hallowe'en in the evening and on the way home I saw tons of kids and groups of children out Trick or Treating and so many of the costumes were just great.  It was on the dusky and getting dark side so I wasn't surprised at all.
_______________

On the stitching front I finished up an Exchange Piece that will go out today and another of the BBD Samplers I started a while back......

"Rosy Morning" - Blackbird Designs
36ct Linen - recommended over dyed floss
8/18 - 11/1/2014

.... and again the name I staitched info: Martha Adelaide Hickox was a maternal GGGrandmother born in 1835, from upstate New York.:

Did you buy any of the BBD Beatles series?

  7. Beautiful! One day you will have to give us a virtual tour of your home and show us how you have all your stitching displayed. Now me, I could show you a moderate amount of stitching on my walls but the bulk of my stitching is in two large Rubbermaid tubs. Like the skit on Saturday Night Live that needs "more cowbell", I need more walls!LOL........Paula

  13. 'Rosy' has such lovely colors - great job! I like how you include family members in your work from time to time.
Otherwise, who will remember GGGrandmother? I have often put in initials, but perhaps I should do the
entire name, as you do. Have you ever stitched a family tree?

  14. Happy for the Giants but don't blame you for missing out on the festivities in person! Love the sampler - so pretty - and I think it's wonderful that you add in ancestor's names!

  15. Very nice piece. I wonder if your GGGrandmother was related (however distantly) to the nurse Hickox (from ME) who has been in the news.
