Gentle Friends I thought I would wrap up the week on a "cute" note..... and here he is cuteness personified.... Smokie....
.... or as he is known around the olde hacienda... Mokie, or Mokie Pokie Butt, Squirlly, or just plain old Monkey Butt!! He's a sweetie and knows it!!

If you have been a regular ready of the Blog, then you know I eschew advertising in a big way. Not a day passes without an email of three asking "wouldn't I like to make some money with my Blog" - I just delete and move on. My Blog is not for sale, and nothing drives me more batty that pop-ups and blinky adverts while I'm reading or surfing around the Internet, it just ain't what I'm all about!!
Now with that said, I wanted to sing the praises of a company that totally came through for me and one of the Who Hounds. It was 1-800-Pet-Meds.
If you remember last Spring we rushed the Peach to the Pet Emergency Hospital with what turned out to be congenital heart failure.
She got better and has been a bouncy old lady for going on a year, but she does take three pills twice a day, every day to stay on an even keel. This past year I have been filling her prescriptions locally, and the prices have just been creeping up and up until I knew I had to find another source, enter 1-800-Pet-Meds. I placed an order over the weekend for two of the three pills she takes (they don't carry the third) and there was a glitch in communication between them and the vet Hospital. I was down to a single pill of the two I ordered and started to panic a bit, knowing that the Peach needed her heart pills. After a couple of calls to there super efficient and extremely nice customer service person, Missy everything got worked out - and - they popped those pills into and overnight Fedex and I had them in hand yesterday and our sweet little old Lady didn't miss a dose!
... the package was well packed and even came with a chew treat! So, I ended up not only saving quite a bit of money but their customer service was top notch - and - the site was easy to navigate!
There ends my little commercial for today

I've seen those commercials and wondered about them. It's nice to know someone who has orderd from them and had a good experience. Good to know!
ReplyDeleteGlad Peachie is OK. Smokie is adorable too.
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet babes!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a treasure to have a pet in our lives and we will go to the ends of the eearth to make sure they have all they need. I am glad you got the pill situation worked out :)
Have a beautiful day Edgar
Yay for PetMeds!!! We've used them in the past and we've always been pleased with them :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Smokie Mokie is too cute for words. I'm afraid he would never walk with me around as he would be in my arms at all times. :)
ReplyDeleteI too applaud 1-800-PET-MEDS as they came through BIG TIME with a rush order of medicine my kitty cat needed. They overnight-ed the medicine and I received the parcel 16 hours after ordering. LOVE that company.
Awww, Smokie and Peach are both sweeties! I agree with you about the ads when I'm reading blogs...
ReplyDeleteAww they are both so adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad she got her pills. I keep hearing wonderful things about that company.
Happy Weekend.
Cute doggies, love all the nicknames! My Gigi has become babycakes and scrummeo at times, lol! where all the fun names come from I don't know but they know it is all about love.
ReplyDeleteGlad the PetMeds came to the rescue with Peach's meds. Always good to know where to turn when the furbabies need something!
OMG your Who Hounds are so adorable, I can't see enough of their pictures. Well, your cross stitch projects are fabulous to look at too! I'm so glad to hear a good review of that website. I will have to go check them out, knock wood our kids don't need any meds right now.
ReplyDeleteThat's good to know about the Pet Meds site. I'd been wondering how they were, now I know. Love the pics of your cuties.
ReplyDeleteEdgar, thanks for sharing the puppy cuteness. Smokey always looks so serious and concerned. I am glad peach is doing well.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your baby got her meds. I can't get our vet to give a written prescription for our babies and they charge up to three times that I'd pay on petmeds. Sad and frustrating.
ReplyDeleteCutie patootie indeed! x
ReplyDeleteI love pet meds too and the service/costs are outstanding. I'm glad that Miss Peach is doing so well on her meds. Too funny that you call Smokey Monkey Butt because that's what I call Clarice when she's driving me nuts. It's kinda like when your name called you by your first and middle names so you knew you were in big trouble!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
Donna
Precious little faces!!
ReplyDeleteDearest Edgar: I am like you not wanting to adverstise for a company but Pet-Meds is worth the mention on your blog.
ReplyDeleteThank-you for sharing the Hoo Hound pictures what a hoot, love the mink blanket.

ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! It is good to know about companies that you can count on!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I have used them before too- they are really good.
ReplyDeleteI have used 800petmed for ages and I agree they are very good. Watch for coupons as they do send them via email Also, they are really good about matching prices.
ReplyDeleteYour puppies are precious!
Have a wonderful weekend, Edgar.
They are so adorable! Thanks for the update. Great info to know about PetMeds.
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet faces! So glad Peaches is doing well!
ReplyDeleteThat's nice to hear of good customer service from a company! We always seem to hear of the bad stories... I'm glad they came through for you and sweet little Peach!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteSmokie is just the sweetest thing! He has the cutest face. Peach's tongue is hilarious. Glad thing are better!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about The Peaches troubles but you really did us fellow animal-lovers and great service by turning us onto Pet Meds. I too have had animals that needed daily meds and the cost is tremendous (Hello, Obamacare!). Smokie looks adorable.
ReplyDeleteEdgar, thank you so much for your kind review and for being part of our PetMeds family. We really appreciate it! We wish the very best for Peaches. Give Peaches and Smokie a gentle hug for us.
ReplyDelete~ Abby, PetMeds Pro
I hate those pop up ads too, but I use 1800 Pet-Meds too and they are really good. Glad Peachy is okay.
ReplyDeleteI love hearing stories about exceptional customer service.. Thanks for sharing and I'm so glad Peach is not going without her meds.. Smokie is adorable (but maybe he would prefer "handsome")! Thanks too for not going commercial. I think we all appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

I used to see the commercials too back in the day when we had cable.......how nice to know they really are good. And what a nice touch to put the treat in!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love those wee babies! Chi's right?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info., Edgar, I am going to look into them for Leo's meds.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs
Ma
Smokie looks adorable.
ReplyDeleteOur sweet little Japinese Chin has reached an age where she is dealing w/ congestive heart failure as well. I looked up petmeds and found that I could get her 3 pills a bit cheaper if I ordered from them. I thought I'd give it a try, knowing that I had our vet nearby as back-up if petmeds didn't come through. They did come through in a great way. Price was good and delivery was fast. I also appreciate the re-order reminders= one less post-it not reminder on my fridge. :)
ReplyDeleteI always give more credence to "un-sponsored" posts.
Sorry for late comment....been a bit busy around here lately. :)
