Super mail, exhanges, and a RR arrives home...

Yesterday was a great mail day as I got my scissors from Carol.
They are just great and so pretty. Here is a snap -

The iridescence is really beautiful!!

I finished up an exchange for the MAWE and it is going out this morning. So look for it to arrive Miss Wanda - I did not forget!! The first piece I made was a complete and utter disaster and was not worthy enough to send so I made a second one which I am much happier with and I hope you enjoy it!! It should arrive in a day or two.

Finally I have my HHFRR back home. Here is a snap of the piece -

Here is a request - As you can see the top middle square is incomplete (explanation below)- it is about 100 x 100 and the theme is LHN to include some sort of tree -
I would love it if a stitcher out there could angel-stitch the square for me as I wanted to have a large multi-stitcher stitched piece.
If anyone would like to work on my piece just let me know, thanks!!

Explanation : This wonderful RR was put together by the sweetest person ever, Miss Donna , and she has been a rock - trying to get everything worked out - as there have been some major issues the last 4 or so months. The top middle square is incomplete due to the disappearance of a single stitcher. She has completely flaked without a word to anyone about what is going on OR what has happened to 3 - of the RR's that she has - and the only reason I have mine back is that Janice had mine and sent it directly to me when she finished and not her - Now, we all understand that things happen to all of us and some commitments are hard to keep - but I really think that if you can't finish something you would at least let someone know there is a problem or send what is not finished or will not be finished to the group leader so that the original stitchers can have back their pieces - I know I sound pretty harsh - but it really chaps my hide when given every opportunity to put something right is ignored.

That is all I have to say about that!!!

I guess it is good to vent - but it is very aggravating!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Take care,
edgar

  1. Thankfully you got yours back! This is the 2nd "ruined" RR that I've read about in the past few months...I don't understand why people don't fulfill their obligations. If she can't stitch, then she should at least send the pieces back to their owners!

I would offer to stitch the square for you, but I have only 1 LHN chart in my stash.

  2. Your RR is gorgeous and sounds like you are really lucky that you got it back...that is horrible that 3 others are missing theirs!

I'd be willing to stitch it too Edgar, but looks like Anna beat me to it ;)

  3. Ah, too late. I would love to stitch your RR as I have joining a RR on my list of 2008 goals. I know that anything one stitched would have a good home with you.

  7. "That's all I have to say about that". Well, of course I had to go back then and read your vent over with the appropriate Forrest Gump accent and it was sooooo much more meaningful. Really, I'm sorry you got messed with on the RR. I was very careful before I committed to my first exchange as I didn't want to "over-commit" and end up disappointing someone. The squares you do have look lovely. Don't have any LHN charts or I would gladly help out.

  8. Ouch! I've had stitchers disappeared from RRs before and RR not returned. It's really inconsiderate of them to do something like that, especially when everyone else has put in all the hard work. Thankfully yours came back safe and sound. I'd offer to stitch the square for you but so many stitchers have beat me to it and offered. :)

  11. Sorry to hear about the bad RR experience. Isn't it mandatory that a contact phone number be included in the RR sign-up for situations like this? Just asking, as I've never participated in one.

  12. The RR is lovely Edgar. I was going to offer but I see there are far too many stitchers ahead of me! I look forward to seeing the finished piece.

  13. Life is a box of chocolates and you never know what you're going to get....

I guess RR's are the same, eh? LOL!
I'm glad you got yours sent directly to you....it sucks totally to have someone flake in the middle. And if the spot wasn't taken, already.... I would have been highly honored to stitch a square.
