Exchanges finished....

I finished up 2 exchanges last night with one leaving today...since it has to travel quite a ways I think it needs to leave today!! No snaps of anything as it would give it away.

The movie last night was a Bette Davis flick from the vol 3 set. called "The Great Lie" - 1941 with the ever present George Brent as leading man and Mary Astor as the other woman with a touch of evil (but in great outfits by Orry Kelly!!!) This was a film that I had not seen before and was pleasantly surprised....if you have not seen this one take the time a rent it.
It is interesting to see Mary Astor in a picture like this when you know she will play
that great mother role in "Meet Me in St Louis" - 1944.

In "TGL" she is NOT a very good mother,
but she won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for this role.

Lucile Vasconcellos Langhanke aka Mary Astor

She was a screen star from the silent era through the 60's and is quoted -

A painter paints, a musician plays, a writer writes
- but a movie actor waits.
Mary Astor
1906 - 1987

Well it is off to the post!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Take care,
edgar
