Fall Peeps Treats

Gentle Friends, every season seems to encourage those people at Just Born to come up with some fun Peep Flavours to try ......  for the Fall they've introduced......

... Caramel Apple -  quite an apple smell when you open the package - and the caramel coating is caramel tasting, I found it to have an odd salty bite to each peep,
the marshmallow peep was very apple-y!!...

.... the Pumpkin Spice......

... again,. there was a real spicy smell when I opened the package, the white chocolate coating was nice and the chicks were spicy.....  nothing to distinct, kind of like a spice cake blend.....

.... next up was a Peep I really wanted to try, the candy corn Peep, you know I like my candy corns and every year munch my way through quite a bit of the stuff.....

...again, when I opened up the package a very candy corn smell wafted out, and the chicks were nicely enrobed with the white chocolate coating, with the Peeps themselves tasty a little like candy corn!!

They also had some kitties......

....and these really tasted surprisingly like chocolate mousse.....

... the last up where the tomb stones, these were just regular Peep Marshmallow, but they were covered in a glittery grey sugar, like the regular Peeps that are covered in a sparkly yellow sugar......

I'll keep an eye out for any other Fall Peep treats I see, overall I kind liked the different flovours and will continue to try new ones as they come out.......

If you been reading this Blog for any amount of time you know what a fan of Egg Nog I am.  Well, this has got to be the earliest I've ever seen any ever at any store.  We found this over the weekend out grocery shopping, and even though this Nog is a weak contender next to some of the wonderful Nogs we have here in the Bay area, it certainly hit that "Early Christmas Spot".....
......  so I hauled out a really nice bourbon I got last year and had a bit o'Christmas Cheer with my Hallowe'en cookie jar in full view!!!

Mmmmm..., that egg nog looks so good! I've had a long time rule that I won't buy it until the day after Thanksgiving for our tree decorating party. Showing up in the stores so early sure makes it hard to follow.

Wow, lots of different flavors of peeps this year. My kids and husband will love the chocolate cats. Thanks for the review. They sure are cute.

Forgot to add:

Have you tried Bud's egg nog? I think it's the thickest and richest out there. So darned good, I think you'd love it.

I haven't been able to find all the various peeps here. I have jack-o'lantern regular peeps, but no special flavors. I'm not sure whether I would want to try them or not, but the caramel apple does sound tasty. I really like my peeps. As for eggnog, I have used it in recipes, but I haven't found a really good nog to drink. Enjoy all of your tasty treats!

Oogie Boogie is appropriate anytime. That nog looks good and I don't drink the stuff! It's probably the bottle next to it that got my attention!

I bet you were quite wound up after sampling all those Peeps! The caramel corn ones looked like Deviled Eggs to me. LOL I love egg nog too! My husband used to get some at the holidays from his brother who worked at a dairy, it was called Smog Nog and it came with booze in it and only the employees got it. Man it would put hair on your chest! LOL

Like a wine list of peeps....I loved the reviews. Peeps are not my thing (not big into marshmallow) but I love the varieties of colors and flavors out there.
Loving that big green cookie jar!!

I haven't seen any of those in my area. I would have bought the caramel apple ones and the candy corn ones too. LOL

I just love peeps. Years ago Martha Stewart went to the factory and showed how they were made; I was enthralled. Anyway, cannot get all those different peeps around here...sigh. But loved seeing them on your blog.
