I didn't mean to sound down ( sorry Carol) and even my sister sent an email asking what was wrong ( sorry Cissy) - it just seems that some days I get so busy that there is not a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel. My, that was another upbeat statement ..... :)
and
I think that stitching in white is soooooooo tedious!!!
So I did not work at bit on the house but instead turned my attention to Wendy's QFRR and worked only on that.
Here is a snap of my section -
I am working my part in the purple colour and am really enjoying it!!! I will have this wrapped up and ready for mailing next week to get it out early as the mail date for the next round in not until July 8th - but as everyone knows I like to get things out early!!!
Last night continued the TCM Salute to Asian Images in Film - and they showed Pearl Buck's "The Good Earth" 1937 - The book is so good and the movie is also very good if a bit slow. It was a truly big budget film of the time using non-Chinese actors in the main rolls. The two leads were played by Paul Muni and Louise Rainer. This roll won the Best Actress Oscar for Rainer as O-Lan the quiet but strong wife. Worth a look if you get the chance.
Another week - another weekend!!!!! Thanks for stopping by!!!
Take care,
edgar

Glad you are ok Edgar.
ReplyDeleteWendy's RR looks lovely - that purple really pops doesn't it. It was a great idea of Wendy's to use a variagated for the centre piece and then co-ordinating threads for the other sections.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs
It's looking great Edgar :)
