A Little Stitchin'

Gentle Friends, I had a really wonderful trip and have been working some Blog Posts.  My plan is to start them up in the morning - hopefully!!  I did a little stitching while away and here's a snap...

... I've been working on the grassy front yard mostly.

A Little Travelin'

Gentle Friends, tomorrow morning at the "Crack of Jack" I start my vacation to the East Coast.  I have a Super Shuttle picking me up at 4 am to catch my 6 am flight!!

A Little Stitchin'

Gentle Friends, I've finished up the "herd" of animals on the front lawn....

...  once the grass is stitched in you'll better see the light coloured animals...  I've also stitched in the steps leading up to the front door.... now it's onto the house!!

A Little Early Cheer!!

Gentle Friends, as you may remember from years past I am a real fan of many Holiday Treats.  One of my favorites is Egg Nog, now I know that there are lots of folks out there that find it just disgusting, but I wait impatiently year in and year out for it to arrive in the stores....  

... this past Saturday during our weekly trek to the store we were talking to Anthony, the Dairy guy and he remembered how much I like the Nog, and said they had already started to get some in, but that they weren't putting it out for a few weeks yet.... but did I want some now???  I jumped on it like a duck on a June bug!!!  So I've hauled out the old bourbon, and nutmeg and whipped up a lovely evening drink to celebrate the oncoming Holiday season!!!!  Although this brand is not one I would normally buy, it did just fine... until Bud's Egg Nog returns to the shelves mid-November.

A Few Surpirses

Gentle Friends, a few surprises for my Birthday... Rico brought me an armload of lovely flowers....

...after we got them home he made five huge arrangements out of them...then my sister surprised us...

...with a pizza delivery from one of our favorite restaurants, so we stayed in and had pizza and beer...

... and on the way home we stopped off at Dianda's and Rico picked up some Red Velvet cake.... it was a wonderfully low-key evening!!!

A Little Stitchin'

Gentle Freinds, I've been working on the menagerie of animals in the front yard of the big house on Plantation Sampler....

... some of them are very light and really don't show well on the linen, however, the background will be totally filled with the dark green so all the animals will show once that is done...
