Garp is especially funny. I can see your skipping <B>Atlas Shrugged</B>, though I wrote a paper on it for a class on Greek literature (I know, strange assignment). I liked it better than <B>The Iliad</B>, which I trashed. <B>Shogun</B> (James Clavell) has a breathtaking scope and is quite thrilling. If you can get through all of <B>War and Peace</B>, you will probably also like <B>One Hundred Years Of Solitude</B> (Gabriel Garcia Marquez). I have to admit to a secret passion for <B>The Thorn Birds</B>.
