Some Stitching and Marketing

Gentle Readers and Dear Friends thank you all so very much for the many kind comments and emails - it is so nice of you all to think of us and our "little man."
____________

Over the weekend I also got some more stitching done on Mary Ann...
here is an updated snap of her...

It doesn't look like much was accomplished but the triple line surrounding everything was just never ending - or so it seemed... and I was determined to get that part finished.
____________

With all the summer fruits and vegetables coming in from the Valley we made a point of getting to our little Farmers Market on Grove Street in the Western addition.....  I got some snaps..

 The tomatoes were just beautiful..

We picked up both peaches and some of the gorgeous early cherries....

and our flower lady had these great purple and gold bunches of flowers.....  ECU colours...  GO Pirates!!!

That's about it for today sports fans - thanks again for stopping by, do stop again!!

take care,
edgar

  6. Beautiful sampler. I am struggling with some never-ending straight line work right now. Boring!!!!! But it needs to be done to make the design complete. Doesn't help that it "ghost stitching" and not a design I would have chosen myself. The Farmer's Market is gorgeous; the colors amazing. Our local market is open until 7pm. Maybe I'll get over there after some work at the gym. Hope your hearts are healing a bit...............

  13. Dearest Edgar: Mary Ann is beautiful, I sometimes end up putting aside a project because it gets sometimes boring, I love the fresh veggie stands, my husband planted corn trhee weeks in a row, so all will come up at different times.
I have been eating fresh cherries everyday, expensive but worth it.
Hugs to you and your household.

  16. Boy, don't those boring borders seem to take forever sometimes? It definitely looks worth the effort. I saw some early cherries at the grocery the other day, but the price is still too much for me to enjoy them. Hopefully the price will drop as those luscious cherries become more available.

  18. Strangely enough, I generally do the center first, then the border.

  20. Your sampler looks beautiful. I absolutely hate doing long plain borders, it drives me nuts, so congratulations are definitely due.
It is too early for cherries here, I am quite jealous ;)
